A Hero's Nightmare

Chapter 6

Kacchan, Todoroki and I take the elevator down to the common room. We're met with everyone from class and a few pro heros. This time there aren't as many. Just Mr. Aizawa, Hawks and All Might. We walk towards everyone sitting and take a seat. Me and Todoroki sit together while Kacchan sits by Kirishima.

"Okay everyone. As you all know your classmate was secretly a villain. And she is set for execution tomorrow morning," All Might announces to the class. There are mixed emotions coming from everyone. There's sadness, fear, anger, and disappointment floating throughout the room.

"U-um are you sure it's Uraraka? Ribbit?" Tsu askes in a small voice.

"We're pretty sure. All evidence leads to her,"

"And what evidence is that Hawks?" Kacchan speaks up. I guess we're doing this now.

"Well first it was found in her room-"

"But can't someone easily plant that in her room?" I chime in this time. It's time to give them evidence.

"Well yes but-"

"Well I believe that someone planted it in her room. Uraraka was framed," I say confidently standing up.

"Young Midoriya I understand she was your friend but-"

"I stand with Midoryia," Todoroki says while standing up next to me.

"Listen kids, you were friends with her. Of course you guys would-"

"I'm with them too chicken wings," Kacchan stands with us. This makes the pros raise an eyebrow. Kacchan isn't friends with anyone besides Kirishima. I mean there's Kaminari, Sero, and Mina too but he's closest with Kirishima. They're dating now.

"Okay kid, what's this evidence?" I take out my notebook full of notes.

"Well first, I looked through the notebook that was found in Uraraka's room-"

"How did you get that Young Midoriya?"

"I gave it to him. Now let him finish," Mr. Aizawa spoke for the first time.

"In the notebook, there are very detailed notes on everyone's quirk except one person. Hagakure is the only person who doesn't have any notes on her quirk,"

"But her quirk is just her being invisible,"

"Yes I know but even Koda's quirk has notes written on it in great detail and there's not that much to his quirk either. Plus if you compare handwriting, Hagakure's handwriting matches the handwriting in the book perfectly," I showed the pros the notes and then they pulled out the notebook to compare the handwriting. I showed them and Mr. Aizawa looked nervous. The other pros looked sympathetic.

"So you're gonna pin this on Hagakure Midoriya?"

"Y-yeah..I-i didn't e-even do anything" A little shaky voice speaks up. It's her. My main suspect. She's playing the victim.

"Midoriya I understand the Uraraka meant a lot to you but this isn't the answer," Momo scolded me. I just rolled my eyes. She's the imposter. Not Uraraka.

"Well Young Midoriya as much as you worked on your evidence...we can't use it.."

"Why not?"

"Because we have her fingerprints on the journal. Just her fingerprints. And additionally there's surveillance camera footage of her carrying the journal around in the hallways," What? No..impossible. The writing doesn't match up. Hagakure is the...she's the imposter..

"Listen kid, I know it's hard to accept it but you have to she-"

"NO! YOU'RE ALL WRONG! IT'S NOT HER! IT'S HAGAKURE! PLEASE YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME!"

"Hey Young Midoriya calm down..we understand your-"

"NO! YOU DON'T! IF YOU DID THEN YOU'D TRY TO-" I stopped. My breaths start to quicken and my hands start to shake. I fall to the floor on my knees. Todoroki and Kacchan kneel to my side. Their mouths are moving but I can't hear anything. My ears are ringing and my thoughts are racing. My vision starts to fade a little before I black out. The last thing I see is Mr. Aizawa's face full of regret and concern.

I wake up in my room. Todoroki, Kacchan, and Mr. Aizawa is standing around me. What the heck is happening? I slowly sit up and their heads snap in my direction.

"Are you okay Midoryia?" Mr. Aizawa asks me first. I nod my head slowly, not trying to make my headache worse.

"W-what happened?"

"You passed out after you started to hyperventilate," Todoroki explains to me.

"What about-"

"The pros are gone. And they're gonna execute Uraraka tomorrow morning..." Kacchan says in a whispered voice. What?

"B-but my evidence..?"

"They dismissed it. I was hoping it was enough but it wasn't..." We all sit in silence. I had my evidence..it was clear...I thought heroes were supposed to help people...heroes are supposed to save people...so then..what are we doing now..? Mr. Aizawa stands up and pats my shoulder.

"Get some rest Midoriya. You need it," He pauses and turns towards Todoroki and Kacchan. "You two get some rest too," He walks to the door. Before he walks out he gives us all one last glance before he leaves.

"Im gonna go back to my room. Deku take a rest and take it e-"

"That's it?" I interrupted him.

"What..?"

"That's it? We're aren't gonna do anything..?" They both sigh, almost in unison.

"Midoryia..we can't do anything else.."

"Was she not your friend Todoroki..?"

"Ye-"

"I understand Kacchan not wanting to help her because after all he doesn't care about anyone but himself,"

"Hey..what the hell are you going on about..?" I let out a dry laugh.

"Kacchan please...you don't care about anyone...you told me to kill myself when we were younger...you think you're superior to everyone..how could you care for anyone else...?"

"Deku...I was young and stupid..I didn't mean it..."

"Oh really..? That's funny...even after we came to UA you still bullied me.." I pause to look him in the eye. "Just like the rotten villain you are...."

"Midoriya that's enough!"

"And you Todoroki...I don't want to hear shit from you..." I turn my head to look him in the eye. "Who wants to hear anything from someone who can't even live to his father's expectations? You even made your mother go insane...and she gave you that hideous scar.." He doesn't say anything. He just stands there. Staring at the floor.

"Deku...this isn't you..what the fuck are you doing..?" I roll my eyes and lie down on my bed once again.

"Just get the fuck out of my room...fucking usless pieces of shit.." The last thing I hear is my room door slamming and a few distant sniffles and yelling. Fucking traitors. Everyone in this class is a traitor. They're no heroes...All Might...the symbol of peace my ass

I'm getting Uraraka out..and I'm getting her out tonight..
