"Reu" I say, pulling apart from our second kiss and smiling ever so slightly. "I'll be back"

Reuben chuckled as I ran past him onto the street. I needed some fresh air. This was like a new start for me, a new beginning. And I couldn't wait to get started. But first, I needed to refresh myself. Get use to the idea of leaving my past behind and starting a future with Reuben.

I couldn't help but laugh; this was the best feeling in the world. Reuben was practically mine now. We could be together for weeks, months or maybe even years. And I can't wait for what the future holds. I might even be able to get out more and make new friends.

I walk in the middle of the road, smiling to myself. Suddenly the trees looked greener, and the stars looked even prettier. Maybe it was because I was happy, which I haven't been in years. Or maybe it was because I never really paid attention to them, too caught up in my own misery. The night was so beautiful.

And then my feet started doing things I never thought they would ever do again. They started dancing. Moving to the beat of the song I was humming to myself. I could feel an even bigger smile spread across my lips as I danced around the road happily, my heart filled with nothing but pure happiness.

I turn to Reuben, who's watching me with the biggest smirk ever. But I don't care, I was already enjoying my new life and it hadn't even started yet. Maybe tomorrow I could even get rid of the paintings down at the abandoned house. I could sell the house and get a completely new one. With a pool and an extra big backyard. Even though that was extremely unrealistic, I still smiled at the thought.

"Come," I opened and closed my hands as I called Reuben towards me. He slowly made his way over, shoving his hands in his pockets as I waited. He stopped a few feet in front of me, raising his eyebrow in a 'what you gonna do about it?' way.

I launched myself at him, my legs wrapping around his hips as he took a step back in surprise before his hands went down to support my body. I pressed my lips to his as hard as I could, enjoying the slight moan that left his lips as my tongue explored his mouth.

He brought us back to the middle of the road, not bothering to pull away from the kiss. Slowly but steadily, he lowered me down. I could see the smirk tugging at his lips that he was so desperately trying to hide. Before I could question what he was doing, one of his arms was on my waist and the other in mine. Out of instinct, my hand traveled up to his shoulders.

We slowly started dancing as Reuben hummed the song 'Jealous'. I couldn't help but laugh at how similar this was to the notebook. We swayed slowly to the song, my head resting in the crook of his neck. I could feel the slow thumb of his heart beat through his shirt matching mine. I could get use to nights like this.

I really did love him; I had loved him since the start. I just couldn't admit it, not only to him, but also to myself. But now here we are, and I couldn't be happier.

"I love you so so much" Reuben mumbled, resting his chin on the top of my head. I smile, releasing my hand from his and pulling him into a tight hug.

"I love you too"

Reuben chuckled as we kept swaying, even though he had stopped humming a while ago. I liked the feeling of being alone with him at this time of night; it was so peaceful, so quiet. Reuben squeezed me slightly, kissing up my neck and over my jaw line. I smiled as his lips connected to mine, lingering there for just a second. I could feel him smiling through the kiss, which only made me giggle and pull away.

"What's so funny?" Reuben laughed, tucking a small strand of hair away from my face.

"I don't know, you're just so weird" I giggled, kissing the small put that had now settled on his features. He was so cute, and he was all mine.

"I am not weird." He laughed, picking me up and spinning me round and round in circles. My laughter filled the silence as I clung tightly to his shirt, afraid I might fall. We were both laughing hysterically by now; and I'm sure we had probably woken up the neighbors. But I didn't care; I was completely and totally in love.

And then all of a sudden Reuben dropped me, and I was rolling on the road in a fit of laughter. He was laughing too, but I could see he was worried that he had hurt me. I pulled Reuben so that he was now hovering over me, using his hands to support his body.

Raising a hand, I placed it on his left eyebrow, gliding my fingers slowly over it and tracing it down his temple.

"I wish I had eyes like yours, they're so beautiful" I whisper, tracing my fingers over his lips.

He smiled, his lips landing on my forehead and not my own. I pouted, so desperately wanting to kiss his sweet, perfect lips. He chuckled at my face, pouting along with me.

"Aw poor Jessie wants another kiss" He said, making weird kissing noises with his mouth. I giggled, pushing a blonde strand of hair away from his face. He was so gorgeous.

"If you don't kiss me now, you won't get anymore for the rest of the week" I said, trying to sound as serious as I could.

I could see the battle-taking place in his eyes as he looked at me.

"Fine" He chuckled, crashing his lips against mine. I rejoiced in the gentle pressure of his lips on mine. His kiss was perfect. There was no sharp sting of lust on his lips, only the sweet taste of tenderness and a minty hint of curiosity. Though he had been forceful crashing his lips against mine, he was nothing but gentle now

And then all of a sudden Reuben's hands were on my stomach. At first, I had no idea what he was doing. But as soon as his hands started tickling me, I burst into a fit of laughter.

"S-stop" I tried to say, desperately trying to pry away his hands from my stomach. But they were too strong.

I hadn't laughed like this in ages; it radiated throughout the whole street. It was the only thing you could hear for miles away, but I didn't care. After a few failed attempts of trying to stop him from tickling, I finally gave in. Laughing so hard it made my stomach hurt.

And then suddenly there was another noise; and it definitely wasn't my laugh. Reuben stopped tickling, clearly just as confused as me. We sat there looking at each other for a second, both trying to process what the noise was. But as soon as we realized, a look of shock swiped across Reus face.

I heard Reuben scream, pulling me to my feet. But it was much too late; coming towards us at full speed was a giant white truck.

"No!" Reuben shouted, launching his thin body towards me. I felt his arms go around me and heard distant sobs fill my ear as something very hard hit us.

Everything went black.
