Chapter 2

*Delilah's POV*

I wake up to my alarm ughhhhhh I open my eyes it's way to bright in here what are my windows open. I hop out of bed I make my way to my boxes I start looking through my boxes for an outfit. I set up what u am wearing which consists of a cropped black top,high waisted jean shorts which cover my stomach since their both short, a flowly cardigan with lace, a gold necklace with a teal stone at the end, and lastly shoes white higtop converse.

I go over to my vanity connecting my end I'm planning on loose curls I let it heat up while that's doing that I go to my CD collection then grab my Marian Hill album I enter it in my CD player the first song to play is Lovit. I run to he bathroom quickly washing my face with my pomegranet face wash and brushing my teeth. Once I'm done with that I go back into my room sectioningy hair parting it in the middle then begin loosely curling it.

My mom comes in through the middle of me curling my hair she says "Are you getting ready?" I nod then say "yup gotta control the main". She rolls her eyes then sees the outfit I have set on my bed she says "this is cute" u reply "thank you I love that necklace". She says "but the shoes gotta go" I say "no mom I live my chucks". She goes through my boxes pulling out some black swade ankl boots she bought me last month she says "it would look way cuter with these" I say "I'm going to school". She replies "exactly sweetie there's cute boys at school dress to impress its a whole new ball game out here" I laugh then say "okay mom to make you happy".

I finish curling my hair I start on my make up its quite simple liquid foundation, natural eye shadow, cat eye, and lip gloss. I make my way over to my bed then start putting on my outfit, once I finish I put on my boots I'm 5'2 so the extra height makes me at least 5'5 hopefully, I add lotion to my legs and arms plus spray some Be Enchanted perfume. I grab my bag then start making my way downstairs to where my dads making breakfast he says "I hope your in the mood for eggs" I nod then he examines my outfit. He says "you are not going to school in those shoes" I laugh as my mom comes up behind him kissing his cheek she says "calm down Hector I told her to wear them".

My dad says "those shoes will grab boys attention I'm not feeling it" she says "we have a beautiful daughter they're attracted one way or the other". I sit at the table with the eggs in front of me I add ketchup then start eating my dad hands me a glass of milk he says "although I don't approve you look beautiful" I smile then say "thanks daddy". As soon as I finish eating my dad says  "let's go I'm gonna take you to school" I say "what your gonna scare everyone your in uniform".

He laughs then says "good I'll know you'll be safe theirs some sketchy kids at your school" I groan getting up we walk out side and he has a parol car I say "ohhh my gosh dad do you really not want me to have friends". He says "I'll be your friend cupcake" awww that's cute we enter the car he starts driving he says "I'll try to pick you up afterschool but if I can't I want you to call mom alright". I nod theb say "yeah I will dad don't worry"  he says "you like my new parol car though right its sweet" I laugh then say "yeah she's a good looker dad better then the one back home".

A couple minutes later my dad pulls up to the school he opens my door for me as I step out I adjust my bag. My dad puts his arm around my shoulder then we start walking as were walking I feel like there a big old neon sign that says look at me on it because there's a lot of staring going on. We enter the office theres no one in here its like an abandoned ghost town my dad walks up to the lady at the desk he says "Hello I'm here to pick up my daughters class schedule".

She smiles then says "yes we were expecting a couple of new students what's her name?" My dad says "Delilah Perez" she bods then starts typing in the computer which soon leads to printing. She hands me my schedule I quickly examine she says "it says here you didn't sign up for a PE would you like to see pur options" I nod as she let's me and my dad walk back to see the classes available as my dad looks with me he says "lylee they have a Dance Team here".

I keep looking then my dad says "she'll sign up for that" the lady says "is that what you want sweetie" I nod as we walk back to where we were before. I say "yeah I was in dance team at my old school sounds fun" she types it in then says "its says they'll be auditions for it in three days so you can try out and if you make it you'll get credits for it". I nod then she starts printing out my schuedlue she hands it to me she says "Here I'll have a student come soon with a similar schedule to yours and show you where you'll classes will be". I nod as I sit at the bench in front of her desk my dad sits next to me as I read my schedule.

Period 1: Geometry

Period 2: Free Hand Drawing

Period 3: English Honors

Period 4: Cooking Class

Period 5: Biology

Period 6: World History

Period 7: Dance Team

My dad says "looks like you got some good classes" I nod as a girl with short dark hair comes up to me she says "Hi I'm Alejandra I'll be showing you to your classes". I nod standing up I shake hands with her then say "I'm Delilah Perez nice to meet you" she smiles my dad says "well I'll get going, please watch my daughter Alejandra". My dad from me money kisses my for head then leaves Alejandra says "common let's get to class".

As were walking she says "you know how all the locker stuff works right" I reply "yeah I saw mine walking in her and I know how to open it so I'm set". She says "nice shoes they're cute, so where did you come from" I reply "Thanks,I came all the way from California so yeah this is different". She says "wow that's a journey" I respond "yeah but I really like the weather here its better California is always just really got I like this happy medium". She says "yeah its nice here little town everyone knows everyone" she says "so how old are you?" I reply "I'm a junior and I'm 16 years old she replies "cool I'm a senior and I'm 17".

Were outside of our first class we enter the teacher says "nice of you to show up Alejandra and with a new student" she hands him a bote then says "She's with me for today I met her in the office". He nods Alejandra guides me to the back where her seat is the teacher says "wait a second come up here and introduce yourself to the class" I walk back up then look at all the faces staring at me I stare at the ground then say "Hi in Delilah Perez I like to be called Lylee I moved all the way from California over here so yeah that's about it".

He says "very well then take a seat" I sit with Alejandra and these three other guys Mr.Gregory says "please work in groups and complete all the problems on pages 345-458 and what you don't finish is homework". I was planning on sitting along but everyone started moving their desks Alejandra motions me to sit with her so I move my desk next to her she says "You get to sit with us, these are the guys this is Justin my boyfriend and these two are Jack and Jack". The blond jack says "you can call me JJ or Johnson" I smile they're really friendly Gilinsky says "Nice to see you".

We work on the problems for the rest of the class all together so we ended up finishing since we just divided up the work. As soon as the bell rings I start packing up Mr.Gregory says "Delilah to the front please" I go to the front as Alejandra waits for me at the door he says "here is your textbook don't loose it we got a new class set" I nod then say "thanks have a nice day". As I go out me and Alejandra automatically start walking to our next class which is drawing yay I really wanna cleanse my mind right now.

∆∆∆∆∆ Skip To Lunch ∆∆∆∆∆

Fourth period just ended I was planing on going to the libaray but as Alejandra sees me walking the other direction she says "Hey aren't you gonna have much with us" I have her a confused look she grabs my arm laughing she says "common I'm hungry". All my books were really heavy my arms were starting to hurt as soon as we enter the cafeteria it was poppin Alejandra release my hand walking slightly in front of me.  The next thing that happens was that I think I slipped and all my books fell on the ground so did someone water bottle I quickly start apologizing I don't want any attention drawn to myself.

I quickly say "I'm so so so sorry I've should have been watching where I was going I'm so clumsy this is all my fault" as I stand up with all my books in my hand this guys tall had tattos and piercings. He looks at me then says "just watch where your going alright princess stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours" I say "I said I was sorry don't need to be such a stick in the mud". He laughs at my response then as I'm walking away says "what's your name?" I say "like I'd tell you" he replies "well I won't tell you mine" I say "perfect were on stable terms then".

I get in line which moved fast shockingly I got a soup payes for it then sat at Alejandras table who was calling for me. I was about to sit down but Jack stood up then said "you can sit here" I smiled then said "thank you for being a gentlemen*. He smiled blushing as soon as I sat he took the seat next to me Justin asked "so are you liking it so far?" I reply "its alright I mean I don't hare it its just gonna take more time". My soup was pretty salty I was getting up I said "I'll be right back I'm just gonna get a water" Jack said "Don't worry I'll get it". I reply "no its fine the machines right there I can do it" he says "I insists" I open my bag I was about to give him money but he just left.

As he leaves JJ says "what the fuck he's never bought me water" Alejandra says "chill JJ she's new he's just being nice". As soon as Jack comes back Alejandra says "So did you leave a heartbroken boy back home" I reply "ummm no not at all unless you count my best Jeramiah but he's gay so yeah". JJ says "you didn't have a boyfriend" I shake my head as in no Justin says "she probably broke up with him a couple of months before she came out right".

I laugh then say "ummm no haha funny thing I've never had a boyfriend" JJ says "awww that's so cute" I smile and continue eating my soup. Jack says "so you never kissed a guy" a shake my head as in no he smiles then says "nice" okay he's being a little to friendly for my liking I just want friends right now. The bell rings I get up picking up all my books Jack says here I'll walk you to class he picks up all my books I say "no its fine honestly" he says "your books are heavy I'm walking you" um getting the feeling he's not taking no for an answer.

As I'm walking to class I see my dad I smile then run up to him hugging him he laughs then says "hey princess" I laugh then say "what are you doing ?" He looks at jack then says "I got assigned a student here to watch I just got his personal information and met up with him for a quick second so he knows who I am". I nod then say "okay well I'll see you later" he nods then eyes jack walking away.

I enter class Ms.Williams is what it says at the door as soon as she sees me she says "new student you can sit in the back desks" I nod as I see jack taking my books to my seat he sits down on the seat next to mine. I sit down I say "thanks for carrying my books" he says "no problem Lylee" the second bell rings he says "I should get going". He hugs me for a bit to long I feel awkward someone taps Jack shoulder then says "your in my seat Gilinsky" I look up to see the guy from the cafeteria Jack says "Whatever Espinosa" Jack gets up leaving then Matt says "see you at practice".

He sits down next to me I sit at the farthest end of the desk looking the other way the bell rings Ms.Williams says "talk amongst yourself I have to answer some emails really quick". The boy next to me says "common tell me your name were gonna be sitting here for a while" I groan then say "well if you must know my name is Delilah but I liked to be called Lylee". He chuckles quietly then says "Lylee that's cute, my names Matt" I nod then he says "I haven't seen you around here". I reply "yeah I was from California before I came here" just as he's about to answer my dad walks in fuck.

I quickly hide behind my bag my dad walks up yo our desk ohhh my gosh this so embarrassing please don't call me princess please don't call me princess "Matthew you forgot to give me your personal phone number". Matt laughs then says "no shit I don't want you to have it" my dad GATS annoyed then says "should I get this from your father" Matt groans then says "fine" I hear pen scribblings I guess he gave it. My dad says "Have a good day Matthew........Lylee".

As soon as the door closes I put my bag down Matt says "That's my parol officer does he watch you to?" I nervously laugh then say "ummmmm kinda I guess you can say that" he raises his eyebrow then says "what do you mean?" I reply "umm officer Perez is my dad". He starts laughing loudly its fills the class I cover my face he says "your dads a cop and your in hishschool good luck with that". Ms.Williams gives us a packet to work with our partner but I am not giving him the time of day he's an ass as he works he says "awwww is little princess annoyed" yes I am I roll my eyes then continue to work on my packet. As soon as the bell rings I get all my books then zoom out the room I've never been so annoyed in my life.

∆∆∆∆∆Skip To Afterschool∆∆∆∆∆

My teacher held me after school a bit to talk about the studies as I'm walking towards the exit a girl comes out of the janitors room sweating like a pig on a hot day. I awkwardly smile at her she rudely says "stop staring,do you have perfume?" I nod taking it out of my bag handing it to she quickly sparys herself then wipes the sweat on her forehead handing it to me. She walks away I laugh to myself putting it back in my bag as I'm walking Matt is the next one to come out of the room I roll my eyes as he's zipping up his pants leankng against the door.

He smiles at me as he leans against the door he says "Hi lylee how's your day" I laugh then walk away he says "what are you doing after school maybe you wanna" I scoffed then say "aww Matt fuck no". His face goes serious he says "whatever like you have anything better to do" we exit I say "actually I do". He laughs loudly then says "Like what?" JJ walks up to us at the same time I say "let's go JJ sorry to keep you waiting". Mat scoffs then says "ohhh please" I take JJs hand as we walk away.

JJ says "is everything okay" I nod then say "yeah you know just dealing with an asshole". I see my dads car then say "I gotta go my dads here I'll see you tomorrow" he pouts then says "your not gonna hang out with us Jacks gonna be sad". I say "no I gotta make sure my mom doesn't need help with unpacking anymore" he nods giggibg me then says "well I'll see you at the bonfire in a couple if days" I walk away waving entering my dads car.

He smiles at me then says while pulling out of the parking lot "so princess how was school" I reply "it was just peachy dad" he laughs as we drive making our way home. As soon as we get home I get out of the car inside making my way up the stairs my mom says "lylee are you not gonna eat dinner with us it'll be ready soon" I say "no got homework to do sorry". I close my door locking it then change quickly into basketball shorts and a sports bra then I lay and bed quickly falling asleep.
