I wake up to my alarm playing September by Earth, Wind, and Fire I know I'm the biggest dork on the planet. I get up singing to the song as my Fish runs on my room I sing to him for a bit. Then I look at the book on my desk 'Matt' I sigh we haven't talked much besides biology he hugs me and that's it. He still hooking up with chicks on the regular just less often I guess you can say or maybe he finally set standereds.
I sigh as I enter my restroom showering quickly and as soon as I get out the bathroom I start to blow dry my hair curling the ends slightly. I walk back into my room I start to do my make up which was some brown natural eye shadow with a wing with some BB cream then lipgloss. I go into my closet looking for what to wear I went with a button up midnight blue baseball tee with leggings and worker boots.
I rush downstairs to see both of my parents hustling we have family flying in to see our new place and my sisters coming and I'm really happy. My mom and dad have been so busy around the house they did not make us breakfast poor Monica is eating gold fish crackers but she loves them so I guess its a win for her. I look through the fridge for a bit then grab a chobani yogert I'm gonna be late common dad pick up that pace I laugh at my weirdness.
My dad looks at the clock then yells "crap" I go outside entering the car as my mom yells at my dad "remember to pick up everyone at the airport after you drop off Lylee" he yells "got it" before he gets off. I say "why did everyone decided to come on a wensday" he says "I know right well I'm gonna be outside waiting for you when you get out so you can help with everything" I say "yeah of course". I say "I can help with cooking dad" he says "yeah I'm gonna set up the barbque make a couple of things".
We pull up to the school my dad quickly hands me money then drives off I laugh then say "thanks I love you" I walk into school making my way into class. As I walk in Jack's leaning on my desk I groan then say "what ever happend to never talking to me again" he smirks then says " I just wanted to tell you how good you looked today". I roll my eyes as Alejandra shoos him away I sit on my desk she says "how does that not annoy the crap out of you".
I reply "cuz then I see him doing that" I point to him standing in the back of the class with his arms around Krystal once he see's us staring he winks at me. Alejandra then says "I'm friends with him and all but I hope he gets an STD and his dick falls off" I laugh as the final bell rings and we sit in our seats. Mr.Gregory starts to hand out review packets the guys sit with me and Alejandra again cuz apparently Krystal really needs Jack's help well Taylors words not mine.
Cameron says "I feel like that bitch took our friend" Hayes as he says like a girl "mmmmmhm and she ain't even cute". I laugh then say "How do you boys even get so many chicks" Nash says seriously "cuz our dick game strong" it makes me laugh harder JJ says "seriously though what does he see in her" Justin says "he's just trying to make Lylee jealous guys". I shrug then say "well he should keep trying its not working very well as a matter a fact its sad" Alejandra high fives me then says "that's right girl".
I laugh as we continue with the rest of class cracking jokes but I still hear the fucking cringing laugh of Krystal.
*****Lunch Time*****
I walk into the lunch area making my way to the line I wait JJ stands next to me putting his arm around me he says "I want some pizza" I smile then say "I know it smells bomb". He says "mmmhm and its just sitting there looking all sexy" I nod then say "that pineapple doe" he groans "don't get me started.
Once we reach the front we both grab our slices and drinks then pay making our way to the table. As we sit everyone comes I smile but again I see JJ look at Jack who's sitting with Krystal I hug JJ then say "I'm sorry I basically drove him over there" he replies "nah don't trip he just needs to get his head out of his ass".
I speak up telling the whole group "Hey guys so my family is having this barbeque thing after school if you guys wanna come" Nash says "yeah I'm game free food good music sounds cool". Cameron says "What do you guys usally do at those events" I shrug then say "well there's a lot of eating and we all get around the fire pit everyone usally plays a song or so something it's chill".
Hayes says "Well it sounds like a good time to me" Taylor replies "Yeah I don't really get to hang out with my family might aswell hang out with someone elses". Justin says "well its a date then we're all going then" everyone nods Alejandra says "great this should be fun". I smile then say "Yeah just don't grab any beer from the cooler stick to soda for tonight" they all laugh.
Justin says "Well give us the heads us what should we expect tonight" I laugh then say "umm well my family is very loud super opinionated almost all of us have ADHD so you can imagine". Taylor says "So ya'll are basically a bunch of monkeys on steriods" I nod laughing then say "Yeah I guess we fit into that category".
We sit for about another thirty minutes I tell them the do's and don'ts such as don't make fun of they're accents but do laugh at every single joke they say. I laugh as we come to an end then say "Yeah I think that's about it" Taylor says "that literally was like a whole History lecture". I nod then say "so you see hoe serious I'm being" they nod Hayes says "I think were ready for this".
The bell rings as I walk away Alejandra says "We'll see you after school alright we'll drive you home " I nod then say "Yeah by the flagpole". I continue walking making a stop at my locker putting my books away because they're just so damn heavy.
I enter class Matt's leaning on my side of the desk again and he's talking to Carter again I lean on the door because last time I walked over there mid conversation he got mad. They both look to the side seeing me Matt motions me over as soon as I reach them he wraps his arms around my waist. I laugh as I wrap my arms around his neck slightly tip toeing he leans back he has an eyelash on his cheek I slightly brush it off with my thumb then I gaze into his eyes wow has he always been this handsome.
We hear a cough we both look back at Carter I smile at him then shake his hand he says "Delilah how have you been?" I shrug then say "I mean I guess I've been okay". He nods saying "that's okay I guss" he laughs then continues saying "well I'm having this get together on friday at my place we're all gonna get in the pool you should come". I reply "I'm not sure I don't know if we really hang with the same crowd" Matt says "Alejandra , Justin, JJ, Hayes, Nash, Cameron, and Taylor are coming".
I say "Okay I'll see what I can do" Carter says "I'll see you there then bye guys see you later". Just as I'm about to take my seat Matt leans on the desk wrapping his arms around my waist hugging me he puts his head in the crook of my neck. I smile as I feel him smiling in the crook of my neck he says "You look cute today" I smile again I say "thanks I think your cute".
The bell rings we both take our seats I don't know what's going on between us but I like the way he treats me when it's this side of him the other side ehhhhh. The teacher gives us our work to do I actually
really try to get this done Matt is just looking around trying to focus on anything else but this assignment.
Matt starts to flirt with Brittany she just so happens to be Krystal best friend he keeps winking at her while she keeps telling him that he should text her some. My chest hurts I take out my phone plugging in my ear buds then blasting G-Easy downtown love. For the rest of that class I completely ignore them it was just getting to much for me.
Three minutes before class's ends I put away my stuff since I finished up the assignment. I sit there just continuing to listen to music I lip sync to Tennis Courts by Lorde. Taylor at the other side of the room notices I blush covering my down he motions me to go sit with him so I do. As soon as I pick up my stuff Matt looks at me just as he's about to ask me a question I walk all the way to Taylor.
I sit down then ask him "is this desk always empty?" he says "no its just my partner didn't show up today and I got lonely". I laugh sitting down next to him and for the rest of the class we play fun run vs each other.
*****After School*****
The bell rang I exited the school to see Matt leaning against his car hard core making out with Brittany. Alejandra calls my name then says "Common let's get going" I run to Justin's car hopping in the back if his jeep. In the car is Taylor and JJ Justin says "Cameron, Nash, and Hayes are gonna follow us in the other car" I bid as we start driving and I give them directions to my house.
We pull up to my house the front doors open and there's a bunch of suitcases at the front door I get out of the car then say "get ready guys there here" the laugh as we make our way inside there's loud music playing. I make my way into the kitchen to see my grandpa secretly looking for chocolate he has diabetes so they always hide it from him but some way he always ends of findong it, its one of the things I live about him I love the small child that still lives in him.
I run up to him hugging I say "hi abuelito" I feel him smiling into my hair he says "Lylee". I smile as he repeatedly kisses my forehead he says "Wheres the chocolate" I laugh then say "Where's the fun if I tell you". He groans then says "Nina I'm getting old for this" I laugh then give him a chocolate cookie as he smiles going to the fridge grabbing a glass of milk.
I motion the group to come outside with me outside they do as told I lead them to my dad he looks at me shocked he says "I totally forgot to pick you up from school". I laugh then say "Dad its fine Shane gave me a ride" he wipes his forehead then I say "well everyone this is dad, dad everyone is JJ, Hayes, Taylor, Nash, Cameron, Justin, and Alejandra "
My dad smiles shaking all of there hands then says "Well eat up guys make yourself at home" Alejandra laughs then says "you shouldn't of said that". Hayes says "grab the football Cameron its on" and Justin walks towards my dads old guitar but its in good condition as in it still looks new. Justin says shocked "is this a Martin D-28 Dreadnought Sitka Spruce with original East Indian Rosewood Sunburst paint" my dad nods then says "she's a beauty isn't she".
Justin nods my dad says "be careful the way you hold her she's old doesn't mean she can't handle it she was splayed by a legend" Justin says "Who played this guitar?" My dad says "well Jimi Hendrix played this guitar" Justin looks like he's either gonna throw up or pass out Justin looks to Alejandra then says "babe hold me".
I laugh as Justin starts strumming it I make my way to the grill with my dad he tells me "if your new friend breaks my guitar I will kill him without hesitation". I laugh then say "dad relax he loves music trust me he'll take care of it" he needs still looking over at Justin once on a while.
I gab the spatula out of his hand then say "so what can I help with " he looks over the grill then says "I think I'm fine you can go hang with your friends". I nod making my way over to the boys tossing around the football I ask "Do you guys have space for one more?"Hayes shrugs then says "I mean I guess we can squeeze you in" I roll my eyes as Cameron passes me the ball laughing he says "your so sassy".
We play ball for about on hour straight my hand was bruised by the end of it but I didn't tell the boys I didn't want them to go easy on me. I would say Hayes had the strongest throw shockingly for him being the youngest and smallest out of the boys. We all get to the point where we just get bored tossing the ball and it's already pretty close to five.
My mom yells "common everyone it's time to eat up" all the boys run over to my dad who is laughing at everything they want off of the grill. I end up being the last person to go up to the grill so I got some chicken breast and steak my dad saved them for me thank god. We hear the doorbell from inside go off just as I'm about to get up my dad says "don't worry I got it you guys just enjoy".
I sit as my mom starts handing all of us drinks she can barely keep up with the boys request Alejandra laughs at them constantly. I'm sitting next to Johnson we talked about irrelevant rappers he told me he was interested in that career I told him to give it a shot why not. My dad comes out telling everyone "I hope you like surprises" behind him is Matt I feel my jaw drop as all the boys start running up to Matt I hear them all yell "Ayyyyeee".
I glare at my dad as he nervously smiles I walk inside as he walks behind me as soon as we reach a corner of a house where were alone. I say "Dad.why would you invite him?" He sighs then says "Lylee give the kid a chance" I run my fingers through my hair then say "I did dad its just he's really hard to understand". My dad says "Common princess he doesn't have close family I though him seeing how close our family is would be good for him so he can bond with with people" I nod then say "Okay I get it you should have warned me though".
I walk back outside sitting in between Alejandra and Johnson, Alejandra rubs my hand then says "relax your clenching your fists" I release my fists then start eating my food. We all throw jocks here and they're at this point everyone has gotten soda spit in they're face. We literally sat at this table for two hours straight my sides were starting to hurt.
My mom said "Common everyone let's gather by the fire its snores time" everyone gets up rushing to our pit I sit in between my dad and Johnson while Matt's on the other side of my dad. My dad strums the guitar as my dads brother says "So whose gonna go first" I had the guitar to my then tell him "Sing us Blue Moon by Chris Isakk". My dad starts tuning the guitar then says "a classic okay" my dad starts singing I live his voice to me it sounds so timeless.
As his singing comes to an end my mom passes snore around she hands me one and I devour it my sister Vanessa says "I wanna hear Lylee sing". I choke as my friends look at me my dad says "Yeah common Lylee we haven't heard you in a while" I say "I would but my throats kinda scratchy". My dad raises his eyebrow then says "Common sing the song you were sining this morning you sounded fine" I sigh then agree my dad hands the guitar to Justin saying "you should play it I have a feeling you know this song".
Justin switches seats with Johnson Justin says "So what are we doing?" I say "so I guess were gonna do Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran just sing the parts where I stop please" he nods smiling then says "don't be nervous I'm sure you'll be awesome" pshh easy for Mr.Amazing Voice to say I nod as he starts strumming.

The song and people whistle I look at Matt he's looking at me weird I smile and start taking peoples plates with help from my sister. We enter and start washing dishes she asks "So is that kid with the tatoos your friend" I reply "No dads his PO". She nods then says "You know him though right he was looking at you the way he looks and mom and dad" I say "he was probably zoned out I truly doubt it". She laughs then says "You can't say your not attracted to him like at all".
I roll my eyes then go back outside I sit Matt sits next to me he says "You were good" I nod then say "thanks". He smiles then says "Did I do something wrong why are you being so short" I sigh then say "I don't know how to read you Matthew I'm gonna be honest you confuse the shit out of me". He laughs taking off his jacke t putting it on me he says "Thats the fun part in every mystery though making sense of it" I shake my head then he says"Well its this simple I'm gonna do me and your gonna do you alright".
I didn't ask to feel this confuse duet again I think no one does he says "Let's just stay aquatinces okay" I nod then say "Okay just lighten up on me okay". He nods everyone starts to leave he says "I should get going" I nod as he heads into my house. I guide all of my friends out they all hug me goodbye telling what I great time they had.
As soon as I gt them all out I run IP to my room lay in bed then just crash since I was already in leggings and a comfy top.
