Axl: You might adopt a mutt, a few cats, or have no pets together.
Izzy: Cat. General breed (domestic shorthair) or a long-haired one (Siberian, Norwegian Forest, Persian, Maine Coon). Or a rottweiler!
Steven: A few small dogs. Pugs, Chihuahuas, mutts, whatever. Cute but a little stuck up. They think they own you.
Duff: One or two larger dogs. Labradors, Newfoundlands, St. Bernard. Big, lovable, and goofy.
Slash: Obviously some snakes. A python or two, western hognose snake, and a corn snake. If you ever moved into a larger house you would consider getting some more uncommon pets.
Metallica
James: Amama pitbull. She was used for breeding before coming to your home, where she's much happier.
Lars: A freshwater aquarium with Neon Tetra, Mollies, Cobra Guppies, and Tiger Barbs. You also have a separate tank with a Betta fish in it. (I had no clue what to do for Lars so I went with fish)
Kirk: Guinea pig, lizard, turtle. The guinea pig is anxious and doesn't like to be bothered, but the lizard and turtle are pretty chill. And a bull terrier or two.
Cliff: A gigantic, lazy cat that gives off lion vibes, or a shaggy dog.
Motley Crue
Nikki: A smooth, sleek black cat and a golden retriever. Their relationship is something like this:

Mick: A clingy domestic short hair cat and a grumpy sphynx.
Vince: A spoiled yorkshire terrier.
Tommy: Two dachshunds and a goldfish he won at a fair that ends up dying :(
