Miss Peregrine came hurrying into the bedroom after being fetched by Hugh, she rushed straight to Elliot, fussing over him and making sure he was okay.

The rest of that night Primrose slept soundly knowing her brother was back. She may have lost her other friends, but now she had Elliot again, and Hugh.

Hugh. Gosh, she couldn't stop thinking about him. And even worse, she couldn't help the grin that would come onto her face, or the colour that would come to her cheeks every time she thought about him. He made her feel giddy, and a whole lot of other emotions Primrose hadn't yet worked out.

But one she was sure of.

She was in love, with Hugh Apiston.

The next morning a small group gathered in the spare bedroom, surrounding the bed that Elliot hadn't yet left since arriving at the house.

He was going to tell them everything that happened, Primrose had pulled up a chair at his bedside and held her brothers hand as he began to speak.

He told the group how after Primrose and Angie left the wight brought the children and locked them in the basement of their house for at least a day, taking off with Miss Dove.

He told them how they were eventually collected by another group of wights and loaded into the back of a van. Though how Aaron tried to resist one and another shot him in the leg with no hesitation. How he bled out in the back of the van.

He told them how they were taken to another part of the island that he didn't recognise. How he overhead parts of the conversations, their plans. How they were waiting for something, some sort of transportation off of the island.

How the wights attempted to find out the location of this house, how the children couldn't tell them because they didn't even know. How the wights didn't care and attempted to torture the information out of the children. One by one.

Until Elliot was the only one left.

He told them how he escaped and ran, he didn't even know where he was going. It was a miracle Elliot even found the house, he didn't even know how he did.

By the end of the story Primrose had silent tears streaming down her face, so did Elliot. Everyone else was shocked to silence, even Miss Peregrine didn't know what to say.

A while later, almost everyone else had left the Larson siblings alone to talk. Hugh was asleep on the sofa that he and Primrose had been sharing that night, as he hadn't gotten much sleep.
