When primrose Larson woke up on the 3rd November 1939 she expected it to be a normal day as it usually was and did absolutely nothing to prepare for a distaster such as a kidnapping. But no one who wasn't a terribly parinoid person would be prepared for that and now prim desperately wished she was more prepared for what she was going to have to endure on that day as she ran barefoot through the Forrest with only a map and her own brain to direct her running away from something she didn't even understand, and a small child closely behind her. Who from this day she swore she would protect with her life.
Primrose Larson being one of the youngest but also most curious children in her loop meant she knew that their headmistress, miss dove was keeping many things a secret from her wards but she also knew that was for a good cause. One of these as an example was the danger of wights and hollows as they evolved over the years.
Their day began as it did normally, with little angelina running excitedly into her room on the third floor of their home at eight am to read her favourite story, Alice in wonderland
But at exactly 8:48am, prim new something was up. Usually miss dove or one of the older children would come to tell primrose and angie that breakfast was ready at 8:40. Leaving a very confused angie behind on her bed, she decided to go and investigate. Primrose who was still in her nightdress as she hadn't received a chance to get ready yet, walked quietly and warily down the stairs to check what was happening and as she reached halfway down the second set of stairs she saw the rest of her friends huddled together at the bottom of the stairs with no sign of miss dove anywhere. So she decided to call out to them still quietly and they whipped round wide eyed to face the girl stood confused on the stairs
"Guys what's happening and where's miss dove?" Primrose asked. "Oh prim is angie with you?" The eldest, Cynthia asked. "Yeah shes just upstairs in my room" "okay good. You need to take her and leave." Cynthia said, prim could see her eyes beginning to water. "What why?" She asked, her voice breaking slightly. "There's a wight. In the dining room talking to miss dove but we've overheard some of the conversation and it's not good. He's going to kidnap her and a hollow is on the way prim. Get the loop map in miss doves office next to your bedroom take that and angie and go to miss peregrines loop." Cynthia explained "what? That's crazy I can't leave you all here!" Prim cried. "Please. We don't have much time. He doesn't know you two are here." Elliot spoke up for the first time. "I love you." She spoke to the group, but mainly to her twin brother. "I'm going to get help" and with that she ran back upstairs as quietly as she could and did what she was told
She grabbed the map and told angie as quickly as possible what they were going to do. Before going to open her bedroom window ready to leave
"We don't have shoes on" angie reminded her "right" prim went to grab a pair of shoes out of her closet but heard faint footsteps on the stairs "looks like we don't have enough time for that little one" she said grabbing angie and hurrying to climb out of the window and slide down the roofing before landing on the ground and then catching angie as she fell too. Before looking up back to her bedroom window to see the wight looking out at her very annoyed, she ran to the exit of their loop as the wight made his way back down probably to try and stop her
When she reached the exit of the loop she didn't know how much time they would have before they aged forward in the present day so she needed to make her way to miss peregrines loop as fast as possible but as she began to go she tripped over what seemed to be a tree root and hit her head
It took a few seconds before angie could nudge her back up so they could continue running and prim tried her hardest to ignore the throbbing pain now in her forehead
Much later and after running for what felt like eternity the two girls reached what was marked on miss doves map as the entrance to this miss peregrines loop
She paused for a second and stared into the entrance to the cave she was about to have to venture into, as if she was trying to pluck up the courage. "Come on little one" she whispered, picking angie up and looking around her before walking into the cave
When she exited the cave she came to a day much warmer then she was used too back in her loop, she assumed it must be summer
After walking forward for not very long she came into a large backyard, she noticed a group of children all together so believed herself to be in the right place and it wasn't long before one of the children noticed them and spoke up "miss peregrine there's two girls over there" And suddenly all eyes were on them
The woman who she assumed to be miss peregrine stood up quickly and walked towards the two girls also followed by some of the children while others stayed back where they were before "hello, I'm miss peregrine. Can I help you?"
Primrose suddenly felt very dizzy, as her mind flooded with things to say. All prim could manage was a nod.
"Okay, can Emma here take the little girl from your arms?" Miss peregrine spoke, primrose nodded again and passed angie over to the girl named Emma and as she did so the girl spoke up for the first time "so what are your names and oh that is a nasty cut you have on your head there" prim lifted her hand up to her forehead and shuddered as she touched it, pulling it away to see blood as angie told Emma and miss peregrine their names.
"Our loop.." primrose said slowly, gaining everyone's attention "miss dove.. my brother.. they need help please help them" and with that prim began to fall, fainting into an unknown persons arms.
