Prim was a strong believer in the fact that any day could be a beach day, whether it was the middle of November or the middle of July.
Luckily for prim and everyone else, it was summertime in their loop and someone had the marvellous idea to go to the beach.
In her previous loop, as it was during March, they didn't often get to go to the beach, mainly from the cold but also the fact that they lived nowhere near a beach, that was probably a reason too.
Prim felt excited, for one day it wasn't as if the weight from her previous loop and all of the events were on her shoulders all of the time.
"I'm so excited!" Hugh said as he was practically skipping as he walked alongside Primrose, who laughed as she clutched her book "you're such a child."
Hugh just pulled a face at his best friend and ran forward to where Millard was walking, prim watched him with a smile on her face, gosh she loved that boy..
When everyone arrived at the beach, prim instantly sat herself down and opened the book she had brought along with her, Hugh thought the fact that Primrose brought a book to the beach was a bit silly but prim liked to be prepared and always have a book.
After a while Hugh walked over to the girl, he was followed by Emma and prim had to squint as she looked up at the boy because of the sun "prim why won't you come in the water..." he asked, sitting himself down next to her
"Reasons." Prim responded plainly, looking back at her book "what reason." Emma laughed as she sat herself down also "it's probably freezing! How can you even go in it?" Prim exclaimed and shook her head as her friends started laughing
"Well you won't know unless you try it!" Hugh shouted, Emma snatched prims book and the girl moved to protest but not before being pulled up from the ground by Hugh
"It'll be fun!" The boy shouted as the pair ran down the beach, Prim reluctantly agreed to try it out and much to her surprise the water was not as cold as she was expecting.
Hugh And Primrose joined the rest of the children playing in the water, everyone splashing each other, before they knew it time had gone on and many people were hungry, so began leaving the water to go back and eat.
But Hugh had other ideas. "Come here." He said with a suppressed giggle
Prim raised her eyebrows, she wasn't going to fall for it that easily "no! You're gonna splash me again!"
"I won't! Come here!" He repeated
Reluctantly, prim obeyed. Taking a small step towards Hugh in the water before he splashed her right in the face, making the girl scream at the coldness of the water dripping from her hair and running down her face
"Hugh!" She shouted, about to splash the boy in retaliation. But she was stopped before she got the chance
As suddenly, his lips were on hers.
Word count - 624 (Eeek! I've been wanting to get to this point for ages ah I love these kids. Also so sorry this chapter has taken me forever to get out, school has just been like defeating me (if that makes any sense) but I'm back, with a kind of shorter chapter but the next like two might be shorter also because we're leading up to the main event of this part so they're most likely gonna be filler chapters, and I kinda wanna go on and write like the events of the first three books?
