Dream coughed groaning afterwards. "Still... hurts you know..."

George sighed and brushed a few bloody strands of hair out of his face. "I know but I owe you my life... again."

"You don't owe me anything... you gave me freedom and a reason to live. If anything I owe you my life." Dream let out a sigh.

"Whoa whoa whoa! Please don't die now!" George shouted.

"I feel like dying... I'm not going to die... not anymore." Dream said with smile.

George looked at Dream with a compassionate expression and started to comb his fingers through Dream's hair to calm him and distract him from the pain.

Dream hummed as he moved his arm to just simply touch George's arm to stay connected to reality.

George gasped and looked as he heard sudden strong wing beats. He moved to protect Dream knowing he had no power to protect either of them.

A blonde man with black wings good in front of them. "Hello, my name is Philza. My sons called me here to help you both saying that one of you was severely wounded."

"Dream?" George asked.

Dream hissed in pain, gripping at George's sleeve tightly and nodded stiffly. "He- he's g-ood..."

George saw the pain Dream was in and looked to Philza. "Take him first! He's going to die if he stays here any longer!"

Philza made his way over to the both of them and was reaching down to grab Dream but he started panicking. "No! No! Tak-take George! More i- important than me..!"

"I can survive for a little while without you... I'll be right behind you. Promise." George said trying to reassure Dream.

"Still..? Knife..?" Dream asked. George understood and nodded.

"Still have it I can protect myself for now. I'll be right there." George smiled as Philza picked Dream up carefully not wanting to injure him further.

Dream's breathing picked up as he felt himself being moved. He hissed at the movement and reached weakly for George and George smiled sweetly at him.

"I'll be back in five minutes." Philza said spreading his large wings and shooting off into the sky.

"The night in the woods is dangerous. The Red King wanted people to fear the night so he created monsters that would keep people in at night and he could strike."

George remembered what his father would tell him about the night. Stories that would make sure that he stayed inside, but he just loved that his father would take time to teach him about something rather than let him rely on someone else. Someone that his father would pay to teach him the things he needed to know... but what George really wanted was his father.

Well, when you're fighting a war you can't really get all that you wanted.

George started tracing the knife's embroidery. It had a silver handle and blade with a gold guard and a golden sigil that looked like an invisibility sign.

Suddenly, he heard a growl. George turned around with a gasp and saw a man with torn clothes and sickly green skin.

Zombies.

George let out a shout and threw the knife like it was an axe and hit the zombie right in the head. It collapsed to the ground with a muted thud and George was able to catch his breath and take back his knife and return back to where he was sitting originally.

George started to doze off as the sun started to set, but he heard the familiar sound of wing beats and it was like a splash of cold water to his face. "About time..." George said with no real bitterness behind it.

"Sorry I'm late. Dream had a bit of a relapse." Philza said.

"Relapse?! Is he okay?!" George cried.

"Yes yes! He is alright now. Just panicked due to you being alone, but it seems you did just fine on your own." Philza said with a smile.

"Ha ha... sorta. I met a zombie for the first time." George said bringing out his knife.

"What did you defend yourself with? It doesn't look like you have anything on you."

"Uhm... I have an invisible knife that Dream gave me. Only we can see it."

Philza looked surprised. "Well, that's fun." George fidgeted with his shirt. "Ready to go?"

George nodded enthusiastically extremely ready to leave this darkening forest.

Philza spread his wings once again and flew off into the dark starry sky. George held onto Philza like a lifeline as the flew at high speeds to get to the cliff top.

Philza slowed as he reached the cliff side and slowly settled down to let George down.

George immediately looked around for Dream but couldn't see him. "Sapnap and Bad took him to the castle where the healers were. He had a total relapse and almost died... surprised he didn't on impact with the ground." Skeppy said.

"He saved me so I returned the favor." George answered.

"You healed him?"

"Well, yeah... you would do the same for Bad."

Skeppy huffed out a laugh. "You're right. I would save him by any means necessary."

"Then we are the same in a way."

"Yeah you're a prince and I'm a commoner, but we fight for the people we love."

George smiled softly. "You here to escort me?"

"Per Dream's request. He wanted you to have a safe journey back and didn't want you to walk alone in the dark. You've got a good one."

George blushed and smiled. "Yeah, I guess I do."

aaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

I am so sorry for not posting in a FREAKING MONTH!!! But I lost internet and couldn't think of anything to do next... I just wanted to come back and be able to keep you guys entertained rather than just going through the motions and not have a good ending... even though I'm terrible at endings.

Most of the time during this I was practicing and developing my writing style and realizing I'm a dork as I join multiple fandoms... anyways... Ive been using a different account and I might take a minute to upload to this again... and hopefully the next chapter will be the last...

I will not post on this account again after this because I have found that I love a variety of writing than one alone.

So thanks for reading this train wreck of a story and I hope you all are doing well!

See you soon!! Bye!!!
