It was beginning of September and the couple were both busy with their work, Chan with his end of quarter project and Felix with work at the café.

One of the nights Chan was sitting on their couch waiting for Felix to cuddle with, the younger was doing a face mask but eventually came out running to him with his phone.

"Channie! Channie!" He meowed jumping on him.

"OOF! Whoa, calm down kitten" Chan chuckled a bit holding his hips.

*meow*

"Channie! I have good news for you! Really big news!" He meowed excitedly.

"Really? What is it pretty kitty?~" Chan teased kissing him.

"Mmm...Channie I wanna go to university!" Felix kissed him back meowing, Chan pulled away for a moment making sure he heard right.

"You...what??"

"University Channie! School! I wanna go to school like you did!" He meowed bouncing on his lap and member.

Oh Jesus...

"B-baby no bouncing like that...and university? Where is this coming from?" Chan giggled a bit.

"Oh! Joshua said I'm really good at designing and he said I would like interior design school! So he told me about a fancy school that teaches it! I wanna do it Channie! Please??" He meowed eagerly.

Chan took a deep breath processing everything Felix just said.

"Sweetheart, you know you don't have to force yourself to get a degree or anything. I already said I make enough money for both of us" Chan teased petting his head.

"But Channie...it's not about money...I want to be smart...like you..." Felix gave a sad meow as his cat ears went down, the older realizing Felix was feeling self conscious again.

"Kitten, you are very smart. But if it's something you really want to do...then I support it" Chan smiled petting his head.

*meow*

"Really Channie??" Felix's cat ears perked up again.

"Mmhmm...but, I need more details. What is this school called and where is it?" Chan started to kiss him again.

"Oh! Yes it's called Levanter Hybrid University and it's perfect for me Channie! They have a part time program online with only in-person classes a few times a month! It's 30 minutes away! And um...Joshua said I can keep working and go to school! He did before too!" He meowed.

Well...sounds about right but...

"Ok, but kitten...I'm worried you'll be exhausted between the two...are you prepared for that?" Chan said with worry cupping his cheek.

"I-I might get tired...but I really wanna do it Channie! It's only for a year with their accelerated program, the teaching is specific for hybrids!"

The older couldn't help but smile even more kissing his nose.

"Well, if you truly want to then I don't mind. My kitty has quite the talent~"

*meow*

"I'm gonna go be extra smart like Channie!" He giggled.

"Baby, I already told you that you're the smartest hybrid ever. But learning new things is always good too" Chan teased some more.

*meow*

"Ok, well it all sounds really nice. How much is it all?"

"Oh...um..." Felix bit his lip looking down nervously.
