It was the night before Felix's trip and the younger was packing, but Chan had been worried the past few days.

"Channie, please let me go..." Felix whined.

"Baby, I don't think you should be going...your heat is still here..."

Felix was packing but Chan has interrupted to talk to him.

*meow*

"Pretty please Channie, I wanna go! My heat should be done by tonight maybe..." Felix pouted.

"Kitten, what if it isn't?" Chan said with worry again.

"Chan-"

"What are you gonna do if another wave comes on and I'm not there?" Chan said softly inching closer to him.

Felix gave a sad meow looking down.

"Sweetheart, I won't be anywhere close to help you with your heat if it does. I'll be at least 2 hours away...and knowing you'll be in pain while I can't do anything about it, that's gonna kill me kitten" Chan cupped his cheeks as he shared his feelings with the boy.

Felix knew Chan wasn't wrong, but he still wanted hope his heat would stop by tonight.

"But Channie...I wanna go...and have fun with my friends..." Felix meowed tearing up.

"Baby..." Chan sighed pulling the boy to the bed, sitting down as he sat Felix in his lap.

"Even though I would miss you like crazy, I still would want you to go. But...knowing your heat is here still and how painful it gets if I don't take care of it...I'm worried I'll make the biggest mistake letting you go..."

Felix kept his head down as he gave a nod understanding what Chan meant, but that didn't stop tears from falling as he cried.

"I-I know Channie...I just want to have fun..." he cried quietly.

"Sweetheart no crying...you know I don't like you sad..." Chan sighed pulling him into a hug.

Felix cried into his neck as he wrapped his arms around it, the older rubbing his back trying to calm down.

"Kitty Princess..."

"Why can't I be normal...I want to be normal Channie..." he sobbed.

"What? Baby what are you talking about? You are normal" Chan said with concern.

Felix pulled away shaking his head.

"No I'm not Channie...t-there's always something wrong with me...even my stupid heats..." he sobbed louder.

"Kitten, no. You know I don't like you talking like that, that's not true. There is nothing wrong with you, you're just a bit different from other hybrids but that doesn't mean anything is wrong" Chan cupped his cheeks becoming more serious. He never liked the boy degrading himself like that, it broke his heart.

"But Channie it's ruining my trip...I can't go because of it..." Felix cried.

"Sweetheart..." Chan felt sadder as he wiped Felix's tears away.

I don't know what to do at this point...oh wait..!

"Kitten, I do have an idea..."

*meow*

"Y-you do...?" Felix's cat ears perked up as he became focused.

"Mmhm, I know I can't come to your hybrid retreat, but what if I stay in a hotel in the city just for the night? If your heat is still going on I can help, if not then you can still have fun with your friends and I can come home the next day. Hm?" Chan offered with a small smile.
