After their week long getaway the pair were back home, back to their usual daily life. It was a Saturday in mid-February when Felix had to work a double shift however because Baekhyun and Gowon were sick, both unable to work.

Chan was never a fan of Felix overworking himself, but since it was just once he allowed him to work. The older spent the day home relaxing as well as working on a new research project he began.

"Well it's coming together so far..." he gave a sigh typing away. He glanced at the time seeing it was almost 7pm.

I haven't heard from him all day...but he should be home soon

Chan smiled to himself as he got up to go eat dinner, feeling lonely he had to eat alone before going back to his study.

*click*

It was close to 8pm when Felix arrived home, padding in the penthouse quietly. He gave a tired sigh removing his shoes and taking off his coat to put away.

Chan didn't hear him come home, but the younger just gave a small meow going to their bathroom.

It wasn't until a few minutes later Chan got up to get some water, still wondering about Felix.

"I thought he would be home by now..." he mumbled walking out his study, but stopped when he saw Felix's small bag near the couch.

Wait...he's home...?

Chan furrowed his eyebrows, wondering why he didn't hear the boy come home or why Felix didn't come find him.

"That's strange...why didn't he tell me he was home...?"

Chan saw their bedroom light on, making his way there calling for the boy.

"Kitten...?"

He got no response, then looking to their bathroom door to see it cracked walking towards it.

"Sweetheart...?" He said opening the door, surprised to see the boy having his bath time alone.

"Baby? You're having bath time alone...? Why didn't you tell me...? Or that you were home...?" Chan asked softly stepping closer.

*meow*

"Oh...hi Channie, I'm sorry...I forgot..." he gave a small smile as he was sitting in the bath water with his knees to his chest, his tail poking at a bath bomb dissolving.

"Ok...that's alright princess, I'm here now. I'll join you" Chan gave a smile starting to remove his clothes, the younger nodded with a smile as he looked back down at the water with his arms folded on his knees, resting his chin on them.

"Ok kitten, move up for me" Chan petted his head waiting for the boy to slide forward so Chan could step in behind him.

"There we go" Chan teased as he got comfortable pulling Felix in his lap, but noticed the boy was still quiet.

That's odd...

"Kitten...?"

"Yes Channie...?" Felix meowed quietly.

"Are you ok...?" Chan slipped his arms around his waist leaning over his shoulder, the boy blankly staring at the water.

"Yes...Chan..." Felix gave a somewhat sad and tired meow which Chan could tell.

"Baby...you don't sound like yourself...is something bothering you...?" Chan asked softly kissing his shoulder.

*meow*

Felix stayed quiet just shaking his head pulling at his tail, the older knew something was up if the boy did that.
