-Trost inner Wall.-

Pixis walked along the top of the inner gate of Trost. According to the four cadets with him, the Armored Titan did in fact appear during the battle, and the Devil of the Walls, long thought to be an urban legend, stopped it.

The general looked over the gate and saw a group of Titans reach up and try to climb the Wall.

"I should've known." He said.

Asura couldn't help but hear the disappointment in his voice.

"I wouldn't mind being eaten by a knock-out female Titan." Pixis added.

(O-kay?) Asura thought.

"Now, that spiel about you being able to retake Trost. Was that a last desperate attempt to save your lives?" He asked.

"Pretty much, sir." Asura admitted. "But, Armin does have a plan in mind."

"Oh?" Pixis wondered as he turned his gaze on Armin. "Do tell."

"There's a large boulder in the center of Trost." Armin explained. "It could be used to seal the breach. Eren could use his 'Titan power' to lift the boulder and plug the breached gate."

"Why not young Asura?" Pixis asked.

"My Titan isn't as strong as Eren's. The boulder could crush me if I tried to lift it." Asura explained. "But I'm fast on my feet. I could help the Survey Corps in mapping the most effective way to retake Wall Maria."

Pixis looked at Asura, who didn't lose the cool expression on his face.

"So, you're the infamous Devil of the Walls." The general said. "Catchy nickname."

"It's one I've earned." Asura replied bitterly.

Pixis burst out laughing.

"Indeed." He said after calming down. "According to my men, you got it from human traffickers."

"Trust me, I did you a service." Asura defended himself. "Human traffickers are the scum of the Earth, and deserve to die."

"Of course." Pixis said. "I meant no disrespect."

Pixis moved to Eren, and Asura received flashbacks. Images of him ripping humans apart and eating them. He placed his palm on his head.

(Why am I remembering that now?) He thought.

-Wall Maria. 6 years earlier.-

"Asura! We're heading out on a mission." Adam called.

Asura looked at his mother and father with a worried yet understanding expression.

"How long do you think you'll be gone, this time?" He asked hesitantly.

"We don't know, sweetie." Maria said. "Here's some money. It'll get you by until we return."

After their last family dinner for quite some time, the two left their home as a storm was on it's way.

Asura waved at his parents, smiling. But when they were out of sight, his smile faded.

"Please. Please come back alive." He said to himself.

Asura turned back to the house, before he bit his hand. A flash of lightning struck him as he transformed into the Feral Titan.

After he transformed, he ran into the nearby forest of giant trees which he had come to call both his training area, and hunting grounds.

-Ackermann residence.-

A young Mikasa had just finished knitting a tapestry and showed it proudly to her mother.

"Look, mommy!" She said gleefully.
