Asura looked around at the skeleton that currently surrounded him and his friends, surprised at Eren's initiative.
Armin started trembling as he muttered to himself about what just happened.
"The last thing I remember is the sound of the cannon firing." He muttered. "Then there was a loud noise. Now we're inside a skeleton..."
"Eren protected us. That's all we need to know." Mikasa said.
Armin just smiled and nodded, then noticed some flowers.
"Flowers on the inside?" He wondered.
"Shh! Someone's coming." Asura said.
"Hey!" Eren called out. "You guys alright?"
"Eren!" Mikasa exclaimed. "What's going on!?"
"I don't know." Eren answered truthfully. "But this thing will disappear soon. Just like a Titan's corpse."
"Then we need to put our heads together, and think of something." Asura suggested. "From the sound of things, they're getting ready to fire again."
Kitz had indeed ordered the cannon to reload, but he had also ordered the soldiers surrounding the group to remain at their posts.
Asura could smell the terror from the Garrison Captain. Hell, he could almost taste it. It was palpable.
(Delicious.) A stray thought stated.
Asura shook his head, dismissing the thought as quickly as it had come.
"So, what's our play?" He asked.
"When I transformed, I remembered something." Eren said. "My dad said that he would show me the truth that resided in the basement in our house."
"The truth?" Asura asked. "The truth about what?"
"The Titans." Eren replied.
Asura was silent, before his brow furrowed.
"The truth about the Titans." He repeated.
Asura suddenly punched a rib, which caused it to crack as he let a curse slip through his lips.
"If Dr. Jeager knew about that, then why didn't he tell the Survey Corps about it!?" He hissed. "Thousands of Scouts have lost their lives trying to find that information!"
"My thoughts exactly." Eren agreed.
"These are questions for another time." Mikasa said, reminding the group of their current predicament.
"Right." Eren replied.
Outside of the smokescreen, one of the cannon operators gave a thumbs up to Kitz and the elite soldiers at his side.
"Sir, cannon crew reports that they're reloaded." Rico reported.
"Wait for the steam to clear!" Kitz ordered.
Unbeknownst to them, Asura had been listening.
"From the sound of things out there, they're getting ready to blow us all to hell. Whatever we're planning, best throw it out there." He stated.
"I'm getting outta here." Eren said. "I'm gonna try to get back to the house, and open my dad's basement."
"How?" Armin asked.
"I'll transform again. This time I'll become that 15 meter Titan that killed all those Titans out there." Eren replied.
"Can you do that?" Mikasa asked.
"I don't know. But I'm gonna try, regardless." Eren said.
However, Mikasa Armin and Asura all saw him breathing heavily.
