-Three years later.-

Three years had passed by very quickly, as the 104th were put through the wringer. Marching with heavy gear being one of them.

Asura moved with his pack with ease, used to the weight he had to carry around daily.

Armin however, struggled with this training, but he was very determined.

The next day, the Cadet Corps was tasked with using ODM Gear using mock Titans.

Asura excelled in this training, and managed to score the most points, bypassing Mikasa entirely, with her being second highest.

During this time, however, Asura had continued with his secret training. He had managed to avoid the Instructors for three years, and his efforts were finally bearing fruit.

But he wouldn't have time to train in secret today. He was exhausted from the morning's training, and the 104th had night training today.

Asura decided that taking a nap would be a good idea.

-Training Grounds. Nightfall.-

Asura had been assigned to a team consisting of Connie, Sasha, Marco, and Daz. Asura decided to get to know his 'Squad' such as they were.

(Daz.) He thought. (Timid, and easily frightened, but he tries his hardest to excel.)

He turned to face Sasha.

(Sasha Braus.) He thought. (She comes from a village of hunters in Wall Rose. Socially awkward, weirdly polite with the way she talks, as if forcing herself to do so. But she has surprisingly good intuition.)

His gaze then fell on Marco.

(Marco Bodt.) He thought. (Whip smart and has a hobby of tinkering with his gear. He'd be a brilliant strategist if it weren't for his low self confidence.)

His eyes finally fell on Connie.

(Connie Springer.) He thought. (A self-proclaimed 'genius' he's surprisingly nimble and excels at maneuvers requiring more flexibility. The trouble is however, is the fact that he's not the quickest thinker. This leads him to sometimes make rash decisions.)

Asura and his Squad flew around looking for targets. Marco had been appointed to Squad Leader at the time.

But, it quickly became apparent that Asura's fellows didn't quite understand the purpose of the exercise.

-A few minutes later.-

The group had run themselves ragged looking for targets, and after a few minutes had two problems.

One: their gas tanks were fully empty.

And two: they were all out of blades.

Asura pinched the bridge of his nose, frustration welled up within him all the while.

Of course, he didn't blame his squad.

Miscommunication and poor leadership had been the bane of the group, and Asura was right there with them.

"Man..." Connie panted. "This training is tough."

"We can't finish this." Daz said, woefully. "I wanna go back to bed."

"C'mon, Daz, pull yourself together." Asura stated. "We give up, we drop out. And I don't know about you guys, but I sure as hell don't plan on doing that."

Marco and the others looked at Asura, hoping he had a plan.

"We still have time to get to the rendezvous point, but we have two problems. Marco, can you tell me what they are?" He asked.
