Chapter Fifteen: The Female Titan

-Former Survey Corps headquarters. A few weeks after the Battle for Trost.-

"There." Asura breathed, wiping off sweat from his brow. "Completely dust free."

Asura ran his fingers under a table, trying to see if he missed anything. When he looked at his index and middle finger and saw nothing, he walked out of the eatery satisfied.

He had been hard at work trying to get the old castle that the Survey Corps once called their HQ. There was a lot of memories here for Asura. Some good, some bad.

He kept moving through the halls reminiscing on the days before Shiganshina when his powers first manifested. He couldn't have been any older than two or three at that time, but he remembered it like it was yesterday.

Asura kept cleaning the castle, getting it ready for Eren and the Levi Squad. He was happy Eren had gotten into the Survey Corps, but there had been a condition.

If Eren transformed without permission, then Levi Squad would kill him.

Hours had passed and the castle was almost spotless. That's when Asura picked up the sounds of hoofs hitting the ground.

"They're here." He said to himself. "Now we'll see what the clean freak thinks of my work."

-A few hours later.-

Levi was content with Asura's work, which Asura just took as a compliment.

Asura and Eren were both incredibly happy to see each other, given the circumstances, and Asura also took the time to get to know the Levi Squad.

(Ouro.) He thought. (He has the most confirmed Titan kills of the Levi Squad, with the fewest kill assists. He has a bad habit of trying to emulate Levi, and apparently bites his own tongue very often.)

(Eld.) He added in his mental notes. (Levi's second in command. Boasts the second most confirmed Titan kills, but no kill assists. Seems to at least want to give Eren a chance.)

(Gunther.) Asura continued. (He has the same number of confirmed Titan kills and kill assists. Very wary of Eren.)

(And finally, Petra.) He concluded. (Perhaps the only member of Levi Squad that wants to get to know Eren. She has the most Titan kill assists, with a handful of confirmed kills. Seems to be romantically interested in Levi.)

"Hey." Levi said.

Asura looked at his new captain, and old friend.

(Captain Levi Ackermann.) He thought. (Humanity's strongest soldier and the captain of Levi Squad. A skilled fighter who taught me every ODM maneuver I know. Can be cold and unfeeling like Mikasa. Must be an Ackermann thing.)

"Hey, Levi." He said. "What's going on?"

"Not much." Levi said. "Now we're just waiting on our Titan expert to get here."

The doors suddenly flew open, revealing said Titan expert. She wore specialized glasses that were attached almost like goggles. And she was someone Asura recognized.

"Hange?" He asked.

Hange spotted Asura and nearly tackled Asura to the ground in a excitement.

"Asura!" She yelled. "My word, you've gotten big! How have you been!?"

"Good, Hange." Asura said, holding a hand up to politely stop Hange from her 15 hour rant. "I've been good."

After awhile, the Scouts sat in the eatery to eat. Asura cooked the meal, which consisted of stew, bread and some rabbit he managed to catch.
