Jake sat in the shower. He had just got done with an in depth conversation with Edith. I won't repeat it here, he never told his friends and the notes I have on hand- don't really go in to detail they just say "he pleaded the fifth" which itself is fairly ominous. What I do have is Jake meeting another aspect of himself in the shower, after some risky behavior with the gods I also don't have much information on. We have enough turmoil to get through, I'm just not going to bother covering or connecting the dots there.

Jake sat naked.

"Another aspect of yourself wants to talk" his familiar Belial said.

"Okay?" Jake asked. Finally the goddess spoke.

"So with you, Jake, what is your preferred....?" she asked.

"He, him."

"Ah I see." she said.

"So I'm a goddess. As I heard you talking with..."EDITH"" she said exaggerated.

"You're an aspect of Iana or maybe Ishtar, but that's not who I am so we're not going to talk about it."

"Okay who are you...?"

"Well I'm...I'm not going to give you a name, or a pantheon. That will come later as a reward."

"Alright." Jake responded skeptical. His familiars both Abadon and Belial confirmed to him that it was in fact a goddess and was in fact an aspect of himself.

"So what I'm the goddess of." she paused.

"War. Family and the home."

She asked some invasive questions about the disasters Jake had been performing with the gods that I shan't repeat at the time. Finally, she talked about more pleasant things.

"So..." she said.

"I'm going to look into your history"

"Uh please don't do that"

"I'm going to do that"

"Please don't"

"I am"

She looked into and found several things and made comments accordingly.

"Oh. So about your divinity. I'm sure you're curious about why I've attached myself to you?"

"Yeah"

"Well you didn't become a god later on. That's not how it works. It's true that later in your life that gods became attached to you. And it is very true, that I did the same. I attached myself because I saw a bright young magician at my finger tips. But it's not because you took the left handed path or the demons "did this". The truth is you were born divine. Looking here at your history."

"Uh can you explain?" Jake asked uneasy.

"So you know Hinduism right?"

"Yeah"

"I personally hate hindus. Hindus and my pantheon don't get along. But- you know how Vishnu gets reincarnated into a human body every now and then?"

"That's correct?"

"Well you weren't reincarnated. And it's true that your parents weren't gods. But you were born the divine aspect of someone. Who though I really shouldn't tell you."

"Oh okay..." Jake was uncomfortable.

"Some people are born divine. I personally have seen it. The norse norns, and the greek fates have weaved for you a heavy destiny. They weave, they don't knit! The quest Zues plans to send you on is just a part of that."
