Chapter 23: And So We Wrap Our Story in a Bow
The last night of the ritual of the five suns, Jake Caloway received many gifts. Many things were secured for him by the gods, and Jake found himself finally forgiving both Dionysus and Apollo. He soon realized as if hit by an arrow that he was in love again with Apollo. Though he also desired Hermes, and Dionysus at least towards the end of it that night. He hurt Hermes, someone moved his hand across the body, and thought Hermes swore it was consentual several times, Jake felt as though he had raped the man. But all was done, and all was said and now receiving many good fortunes the gods declared the ritual of the seven suns over.
Jake had hoped that now he could stop being raped. Apollo and Jake had patched things up. Jake as always was a complete and total worry wort. He summoned Apollo and received the following prophecy:
"When the moon is waxed and the sun sets in blue
Their will be demigods who will quickly discover you
The storms will take your bloody home
And things will stray within your dome (he pointed to his head)
People will not believe you are Jake Caloway
And their is much that you will give and they will take
But when all is said and all is done
The City of Gods will have won"
"There you have a little prophecy. I don't do those alot."
Jake had spent the next couple of weeks planning. He didn't know the details, of where how or when, but he planned on everything changing. Some way. Some how. But in truth he didn't have the details. Jake decided that he wanted answers, and who better to get answers from then his father?
Zues came to Jake through evocation and put his foot down. He yelled at Jake some relenting to Jake that he wasn't his son. That Jake had kept many things from him. He asked Jake when he was going to tell him that in his mythos, he was creator of this planet and everything, and Jake replied that since the gods keep tabs on him, he thought they knew that. This however, only angered Zues. Zues claimed Jake was a rapist for what happened to Hermes, and the night ended with Jake in tears listening to his mp3 player in the pitch black darkness. Jake still remembered the last thing Zues said that night "Don't call me this way again." But it wasn't soft or gentle, it was harsh, bitter and cruel. Jake a few nights later attempted to kill himself, but failed.
Jake spent the night, and following days making arrangements with the fae. They asked when they could take him. He told them on the condition of returning within the following year our time, that they may take him in 5-7 months. Jake sat in the shower. He eventually cut all his spiritual allies. Jupiter approached him once more. Jake was upset. He broke down crying, after getting advice from a lowa named GATABAY, he finally caved, and demanded to go on his quest.
Zeus scolded him harshly for this. At first Zues said he would release Jake into his quest after the first book which would not detail this quest, was released, the one being written by Raven. However within the conversation, anger grew and festered within Jupiter, and he said "Your being a spoiled brat. I am canceling your quest". Jake withholding the tears from his eyes caved. "Then so be it". He sent his final notes to Raven, with whom he had a sad conversation.
"This isn't what I had planned for the story"
"Raven. I think you should end it here"
"But you haven't even gone on your quest yet....this whole book was supposed to be your quest! It's nothing but build up Jake!"
