Ella ran outside. "What happened?" she whispered. Trees were collapsing everywhere. Char ran up to her. "What do I do? I don't even know where to start!" Ella gaped at the fallen trees. "Mother's tree. Take care of my stepfamily and gather the villagers. Take all of them to your castle. I have to check out something."
Char held Ella's hands. "I just have this feeling I'm not going to see you again." Ella gave him a reassuring smile. "Stay safe." They let go of each other and began their new adventure.
Earlier that day, Jack took Little Red's dare (more like a joke) and once again climbed the beanstalk to fetch the magical harp. That night, he found himself fleeing from a furious beast- well, more like... a giant. He scrambled down the stalk and called out to his mother, waking her up. "MOTHER! RUN AWAY! GO! NOW!"
His mother ran outside, just in time to see Jack land on the ground as the giant above him leaped off the beanstalk. The ground shook, sending clouds of dust into the air. To Jack's mother, it seemed as though Jack had been crushed by the giant.
But luckily, NO! Jack escaped, running through the woods to just, well, HIDE!
The baker's wife rejoiced with her accomplishment. She lifted up the glass slipper in the air, just as her husband approached her. "The slipper!" they both shouted. "What about the cow?" the wife asked. "Right here! And the golden strand?" The wife scratched her forehead. "Um, about that..."
"Oh no..."
The ground suddenly shook. The wife watched as the trees around them fell. "Yes, I know. It's the last midnight."
