Earlier that afternoon, Jack punched his pillow in anger. "They're, not, magic!" he scowled. "They're, not-!" He looked out his bedroom window. He quickly hopped out the window.
He gazed up at the humongous beanstalk in his backyard. I'll bet it's pretty cool up there, he assumed and without thinking he scrambled up the beanstalk.
A good couple of hours later (midnight), he jumped back onto solid ground. He silently climbed back through the window, now carrying a chicken and a thick book.
He plopped down onto his bed and stroked the chicken. Cluck, CLUCK!, it yelled. "Shhh," he whispered and patted it's rear end. Then, it automatically laid a golden egg.
Jack grinned and looked at the book. Somehow, it had the ability to grow or shrink, so it was right now fit for Jack to hold. He opened it up. It was not just a book! It showed others. On the first page, Jack saw Little Red sitting with her Granny, making a new cape out of wolf skin. They were laughing together, probably talking about earlier. "I know things now!" Little Red giggled.
Jack turned the page to see Ella running home. Her gown suddenly turned back into rags, and her hair flopped back down into simplicity. Her mask turned into leaves again, but her glass slippers stayed. She looked behind her, and kept running. She seemed worried, yet extremely happy.
She seemed to be thinking, and then laughing at the thought. Jack smiled and turned the page to... himself. The image showed Jack looking at his book. The image then melted away, leaving a blank page. Some writing appeared saying: Talk to me. Share your adventure. There's no need to write.
"Okay... kind of creepy, but here it goes." Jack cleared his throat. "Dear Magic Book, it's been such a crazy day, but I'll just tell you the highlight of the day. Wait 'till my mother sees what I've returned with! Let's just say, there are giants in the sky!"
