Skip, skip, munch, munch, skip, skip...
Little Red was practically eating all of the sweets in her basket as she skipped deeper into the woods. There was a sudden rustle, then a mighty wolf leaped out of nowhere in front of the girl, standing on his hind legs to make him look like he's towering over her. He gave a menacing grin.
Clearly, Little Red did not get the idea. Because she had never been outside like this before, and since her mother had been so ill, no one had the time to teach this girl about stranger danger. "Hi Mr. Fox!" she practically shouted in a LOUD (but cheerful) voice.
"It's Mr. WOLF," the wolf corrected, a bit confused. "I uh... SAY, DO YA WANNA LOLLIPOP?" The wolf suddenly seemed friendly as he slowly pulled a lollipop out of his jacket (for some reason he was wearing a coat).
"No thanks Mr. Fox. I already have a snack," Little Red said pointing to her (actually empty) basket. "I prefer pastries."
"Well! Did you know Mr. Wolf loves pastries too?" The wolf whipped open his jacket, revealing pockets and pockets of cookies, and slices of bread.
"Wow," Little Red gaped at the sweets. "Okay, you're good. But I must be on my way to Granny's."
"Your Granny's, huh?"
"Yeah, but I seem to have lost the route." Oh yeah! the wolf thought. "Well, it just so happens that I know where your Granny lives. She's the only person who lives in the woods."
This guy's a little strange, Little Red thought. Raising her eyebrow, she quietly spoke, stroking her chin as if she had a beard, "Have you been stalking us?"
"Nonsense!" The wolf calmly rested his paw on her shoulder. "I just know many things about the woods. It can be a very dangerous place, you know. So you'd better be on your way. Now, I'll tell you the route..."
The wolf ended up telling Little Red about a longer detour. This wolf had been starving for a week, so he was very hungry. He didn't eat the pastries because, well, he's a carnivore. Coincidentally, it was noon, lunchtime.
"...and then you'll find Granny's little cottage."
"Okay!" Little Red grinned. "Thanks Mr. Fox!"
"Ugh, you're welcome MISTER WOLF- I mean, little girl."
They then parted, going separate directions, BOTH on their way to Granny's.
