The Duchesses of Star Base 12

Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell Part 2

Finally , The United Starship Republic orbits around Star Base 12 and  the remaining passengers  board the shuttle crafts  that will transport them down to Star Base 12 where the various Dukes and their wives will greet the inhabitants of  StarBase 12.

One of the Lords is Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR with his wife, Lady Patricia and their youngest son, Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR watches the door of the shuttle craft open up and Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley escorts Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell out of the shuttle craft and he tells her, "That gentleman is the Duke of Norfolk Territory and standing with him his youngest son, Lord Andrew Charles Howard."

Lt Kevin Thomas Riley walks with Karissa and he bows and Karissa knows something about royal protocol and she curtsy and Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR says, "Welcome back to Star Base 12 Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley. I was sorry to hear that your parents were murdered by Kudos but everything is being done to bring him to justice." 

"Thank you Lord Howard and I want you to meet Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell." Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley tells him.

"Welcome to Star Base 12 Mademoiselle Karissa. " Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR tells her.

"Thank you Sir." Karissa  answers.

While Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley and she are talking to Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR his youngest son Lord Andrew Charles walks over and says, " Hey old buddy who is the young woman you are with?"

"Well old buddy. Her name is Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell. She is a first year student at Starfleet Academy." Kevin Riley explains.

"Can you introduce me to her Kevin." Lord Andrew Charles asks.

"Why don't you just introduce yourself Lord Andrew Charles?" Kevin asks.

Lord Andrew Charles Howard walks over to where Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell is standing and he bows and she curtsy to him, " I am Lord Andrew Charles Howard."  Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Lord Andrew Charles Howard. " Karissa answers.

"I hear that you are a first year student at StarFleet Academy. I am a second year student." Lord Andrew Charles states.

"I have never heard about a Duke's son studying." Karissa  tells him.

"I am not your ordinary Duke's son. "Lord Andrew Charles laughs, " I am determined not to live off what my grandfather has set aside for me." 

"Commendable." Karissa exclaims, " What are you studying?"

"Engineering." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

"You Karissa." Lord Andrew Charles asks.

"Medical Science." Karissa answers.

"You know what I really want do Karissa. I want to study architecture." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

"What is stopping you Lord Andrew Charles Howard?" Karissa asks.

"StarFleet Academy doesn't offer Architecture." Lord Andrew Charles explains.

"Why don't you transfer to the University?" Karissa asks

"I actually never thought about it, come to think of it it's not a bad idea and my great--great-great grandfather was architect of The University and he contributed to it."  Lord Andrew Charles states.

"What about you Karissa?" Lord Andrew Charles asks.

"Medical Science is my second choice Lord Andrew." Karissa answers.

"What was your first choice?" Lord Andrew Charles asks.

"A bachelor's degree in Arts and Humanities in the area of concentration in Music, Literature, and Art." Karissa exclaims.

"You won't find that at Starfleet Academy." Lord Andrew Charles states.

"I do believe they have a scholarship program at the University that you might qualify for and if all fails I am sure that father will help you by having your tuition, books, and supplies paid for at the University with a fund started by my paternal great-great-great-grandfather." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

Karissa looks at Lord Andrew Charles and Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley joins them as they are talking, "I see you have met Karissa Lord Andrew Charles." 

"I like her Kevin." Lord Andrew Charles tells him.

"Lord Andrew Charles Howard keep your hands off Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell." Kevin tells him.

"What are you going to make me Kevin?" Lord Andrew Charles asks.

"I will if I have to Lord Andrew Charles Howard. She is not another trophy for you to hang on your wall as a conquest. " Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley tells him.

When Lord Andrew Charles Howard is talking a carriage passes by with Lord Richard William Carey, Duke of Bedford Territory riding back to Bedford Territory and he has carriage stop and he climbs out of his carriage and walks over to where Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR with Lord Andrew Charles Howard is greeting the new inhabitants of Star Base 12.

"Good Afternoon Lord Charles Howard." Lord Richard tells him.

"Good Day Cousin Lord Richard. These are our new inhabitants." Lord Charles Andrew explains.

Lord Richard William Carey is the great-great-grandson of Lord Frederick William Howard through his daughter, Lady Sophia Charlotte Howard.

Lord Richard William Carey walks over to where Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley and he bows and says. "I was sorry to hear of your loss Lt. Riley."

"Thank you Lord Carey." Lt Kevin Thomas Riley tells him.

"They will apprehend Kudos Lt. Riley." Lord Carey tells him.

Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley takes Lord Richard William Carey over to meet Karissa Elizabeth Ann Howard and Kevin says, " I want you to meet Lord Richard William Carey, Duke of Bedford Territory  Karissa."

Karissa turns around and she curtsy to Lord Carey, " Nice to meet you Lord Carey."  Karissa tells him.

"My name is Richard." Lord Richard states, "You may call me Richard." 

"I don't like formality Mademoiselle Karissa." Lord Richard William Carey exclaims.

"I am not a stiff neck aristocrat like my first cousin Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR." Lord Richard tells her.

"Lord Richard would you do me a favor and see Karissa to Madame's Boarding House since you going in that direction." Kevin Thomas Riley asks.

"I will be most happy to see Mademoiselle Karissa safely to Madame' s  Boarding House, In fact I would welcome the company."  Lord Richard tells him.

Lord Richard William Carey offers Karissa his arm and she smiles and Kevin Thomas Riley carries Karissa's luggage over to Lord Richard William Carey's carriage and places the luggage in his carriage and he helps Karissa to get into the carriage and he tells her, " Lord Richard William Carey will see that you get safely to Madame's Boarding House Karissa." 

"I will see you later on and we will explore Star Fleet Academy together before we have to start classes." Kevin tells her and he watches the carriage  drive off.

Lord Andrew Charles Howard watches Karissa drive away with his first cousin once removed Lord Richard William Carey .

Lord Andrew Charles Howard isn't too happy about Lord Richard William Carey taking Karissa to her destination and Kevin Thomas Riley refuses to tell him where she lives.

While Lord Richard William Carey and Karissa are traveling they start to converse with each other and Lord Richard William Carey is drawn to Karissa, but he isn't sure if she is drawn to him.

Karissa is silent about her feelings but she is drawn to Lord Richard William Carey too, and when they come together they start revolution that will rock Star Base 12.
