The Duchesses of Star Base 12

No one ever said that The Howard's of Star Base 12 weren't complicated, indeed they were one of the most complicated aristocratic families on Star Base 12.

Lord Andrew Charles Howard, fifth Duke of Norfolk Territory was a complicated young man and he had both a beautiful wife and Duchess in Lady Karissa and he also had a beautiful mistress in Lady Theresa Charlotte Hardwick.

Lady Karissa becomes pregnant in June of 2284 for the final time with Lord Andrew Charles and their fourth child is due in March of 2285 and when Lady Karissa reveals to Lord Andrew Charles that she is pregnant with their last child as they only planned on four children together.

Lord Andrew Charles Howard looks at Lady Karissa and he looks at her and says, " We agreed on four children, but what if our fourth child isn't a second son."

Lady Karissa looks at Lord Andrew Charles and tells him "It's not my fault you only have one son."

"Couldn't we try a fifth time." Lord Andrew Charles asks.

I am afraid not,Lord Andrew Charles. I have fulfilled my promise with you and I have gladly borne our children and I still have one more child to give to Lord Richard William Carey.

"Lord Richard William is a patient man.' Lady Karissa explains, "You must be satisfied with the children we have."

"I have chosen the names for our fourth child, if it is a girl, Lady Sophia Charlotte Dorothea and if it's a son, Lord Robert John Howard in honor of his ancestors, Lord Robert and John Howard." Lady Karissa tells Lord Andrew Charles.

"What about our son, don't you think he deserves a little brother?"Lord Andrew Charles asks.

"Lord Andrew Charles JR will get a little brother but his little brother will come through Lord Richard William Carey and he will have to wait until 2289." Lady Karissa tells him.

Lady Karissa walks out of Lord Andrew Charles' office and walks down the corridor and she is approached by Lord Richard William who has come to see his two year old daughter, Lady Caroline Matilda.

"How did Lord Andrew Charles take the news of his fourth child?" Lord Richard William asks.

"He took it well, and actually brought up a fifth try." Lady Karissa exclaims.

"What Lady Karissa ? He already has three children with you and how many times does he visit the nursery." Lord Richard William asks.

"I don't keep count, Lord Richard William, and his children don't see him very much." Lady Karissa tells him.

"Oh, and he wants to try again, just in case this child is another daughter?" Lord Richard asks.

"Exactly and I have told him no." Lady Karissa states, "Just having sex with him makes my stomach turn."

Lord Richard breaks out laughing, " Romeo is losing his touch, I see."

"You mean Casanova. Lord Andrew Charles is far from being a Romeo and a Casanova." Lady Karissa exclaims.

"At first, I thought he was quite charming, when I first met him but as time passed by I started feeling differently, but for the sake of our children I remained married to him." Lady Karissa explains.

"I thought snakes were cute, Lady Karissa , but my grandfather warned me that they can be deadly and poisonous." Lord Richard William explains.

"My grandfather explains that the gardener snakes were harmless, but when you see a rattlesnake they can attack at any time." Lord Richard William explains.
