It stopped snowing and the gray sky was breaking into pieces, letting a beautiful canva of azur peeking on the animals’ heads.
The horses were stepping on the icy ground, followed by Steel Wool and the two warrior dogs. The ram proceeded in silence, often turning back with a nervous expression, but no one dared ask him what was wrong.
Ava was staring forward, refusing to turn back to the cursed black castle they were leaving forever.
She wasn’t either a bit sorry to say goodbye to it, the origin of her pain and the place where a monster lived. They decided to start a new trip to another place, where the princess had no doubt they could find something helpful. Her instinct couldn't be wrong: they had to reach the Crystal Water countryside, in the Royal Family’s estate.
First, they checked out the room filled with dolls that Ava reminded very well, but… they found just an empty space.
The siamese cat was absolutely sure it was there, but even a complete search into the whole palace couldn’t find it.
The creepy event, which appeared to have no explanation, had been the confirmation they all needed to leave. All suddenly, the Shell rang. Ava opened her bag and took it with one paw, starting the contact:
- Kate?!
- Princess, it’s me!
- How is Eva?! Is she okay?!The Royal Guards couldn’t hear the next words due to the distance of the horses, but they all noticed Ava’s anxious expression changing into a total shocked one.
William feared the worst news that could make her totally collapse…. but after a while the big blue feline eyes opened wide and the princess swallowed, nodding:- I… I think… it’s possible…
Another pause.
- W-what do you need, exactly?
Other ununderstandable noises from the Shell were carefully listened to by everyone.
- Okay... I can do it. - then, the princess made a weird sound, between a sign and a scream - Thank you… all of you. I’ll do it.
- What happened? - asked Danny when she raised her head.
- Change of programme, friends. - announced the Feles Aulicus - We first need to go to the Castle.
- Why? - questioned William.- We’re bringing my sister back home.
-No way! - exclaimed William, loudly.
Ava turned back to his horses, surprised.- What?
- We can’t bring her back here! Do… do you know what it would mean?! Isn’t the Petbuster enough?!- William is right, princess! - approved Danny, upset - She will mess everything up again!
Ava hissed and raised her tail:
- My sister is lying in a bed, intubated and unable to wake up and almost dead! ALL ALONE!
- I think she’s the last thing we need, right now.The horses pawed and agreed, annoyed.
Ava lowered her head, upset by that uprising against her words, then talked loudly:
- We NEED her right now! Do I have to remember you? She's the only one who can help us find Mujika!- That’s true, but she’s a huge danger, princess. - replied Balloon - We can’t do it!
- Maybe… - tried to say Mela - ..if she woke up she would tell us more, thanks to the Shell.
- She won’t wake up in the Big City! She’s dying!- So what? Do you really want to see her die here?! Isn’t all this enough?! Do you want to suffer more, princess?! - argued William.
The Guards surprised of hearing a low growl of anger through his words, but Ava showed even more ferocity:
- We can cure her! A Feles Aulicus protector said…
- A what? - asked Ambra.
- Nevermind! I’ve already decided, we will do it!
