CHAPTER ELEVEN

"Kailan mo gustong sabihin sa anak natin na ikaw ang ama niya?"

"Huwag muna sa ngayon, okay lang naman ako sa ganitong set-up muna at huwag natin siyang biglain."

"Bakit, hindi mo ba gustong ngayon na niya malalaman?"

I looked at him sideways, I saw him pinched the bridge of his nose. "I want her to see me as his true father but I am still afraid of the consequences, what if she will push me away after learning that I am his father? I still want to bond with my daughter before everything." He said before he stood and walk away.

"Bwahahaha, Daddy stop it! Hahaha, I am tired na!" I can't help but to smile while seeing them. Yanna is running against her father while Adrian's trying to keep up with her daughter while the sunset is still visible.

Seeing them bond, happy, and comfortable with each other made me feel guilty and happy as well. Six years, Adrian was absent to be a father for his four years old daughter, he said he is ready to take the responsibility and I can see that from now.

"I am not going to stop until I didn't catch you!" He shouted while running.

"Wah! Fine! Ayoko na! Hindi porke't mataba ako eh patatakbuhin niyo po ako ng malayo! Aba..."

I scratch my head after hearing the tone of daughter's voice. Hindi iyan sa akin nagmana sa ugali kaya namana niya iyan sa ama niya.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk! What makes you change your mind, baby girl?" Adrian asked as he put his hands on his hips.

Napatingin naman ako kay Yanna na kasalukuyan niyang inaayos ang buhok niya na tumabig sa mukha niya.

"Ewan ko po, basta huwag na po kasi ayaw ko nang pumayat."

"Okay, stop. I won't tease you no more."

He sighed as he walks towards Yanna. I saw him carried her and Yanna voluntarily wrapped her arms around his nape.

"You know what, I was also a chubby when I was at your age." Sabi ni Adrian habang naglalakad sila palapit sa cottage namin. He smiled at me when he saw me, I just nodded and continued chopping beans after done slicing the carrots, meats, and other ingredients.

I presented that I'll cook food for us to eat for dinner. It was one of my daughter's favorite food, vegetables. Lahat naman kami dito ay kumakain ng vegetables, pansin ko rin kay Adrian, lahat ay healthy food ang kinakain, minsan daw iyong unhealthy foods.

"Talaga po ba?" I can hear amusement from her voice as if she's really shocked and surprised. "Why you do not look chubby right now?"

Tumingin ako sakanila ulit at umiwas ng tingin nang nakitang nakatingin sa akin si Adrian. Adrian's sitting on the chair infront of me while Yanna's sitting on Adrian's lap.

"Daddy, you listening?" I hope we could get to tell her as soon as possible that Adrian is her father. She's just calling Adrian daddy because she asked it, and Adrian also love what it feels to be called daddy that is why he agreed. In short, Yanna still doesn't know who her father is.

I silently sighed in relief when he averted his gaze from me.

"Po?"

"I'm asking why you look... Ughhh! You're not even listening naman eh! You're looking at my mom! Makaalis na nga! I won't eat na!" She stood before storming out of the small cottage, sinundan nami siya nang tingin hanggang sa makaakyat siya da kuwarto niya.
