CHAPTER FOURTEEN

"Yanna is your granddaughter, mom."

Her eyes widened in shock and her mouth parted a bit, but still she is beautiful and an elegant one. Sabi-sabi pa nga na para siyang hindi nanganak sa ganda niya. I just roll my eyes everytime I hear those lines. Gustong-gusto naman iyon marinig ni mom, akala mo nanalo sa loto dahil ang ngiti ay umabot hanggang sa mga mata niya.

"Wait, S-Seriously!?" She stood, I thought she was going to shout and blame me but she do the otherwise, she left alone in the kitchen.

I shrugged, I was kinda sad because I did not see her real reaction, didn't hear her opinions but maybe I should give her time to consider that she has already a granddaughter.

Inilabas ko sa aking bulsa ang telepono ko.

Me: Kumain na kayo diyan, Yen ko?

Agad sumilay ang ngiti sa aking labi nang makita ang pangalan niya.

Yen: Oo naman, nakahiga ako. How's it? Please, tell me... I cannot sleep right now. Our Yanna is already asleep but I cannot, I'm nervous.

Me: Don't be nervous, I miss you too Yen ko, uwi na 'ko diyan. Usap tayo. I love you! 😘

Yen: Hmm, I love you too! 😝 Uwi ka agad, ha?🤞

I laughed silently after reading her text. It has been two weeks since we went to my family's Island and it's been a week and four days since we we're together.

We're both great, she is a hard girl at first and not easy to get, a cold woman. But now, I don't care if she is a clingy one, I hated that type of a woman but your tastes would probably change after meeting your the one.

Two times in those one week and four days that we've been fighting over a damn reasons. Number one is jealous, number two is when I spoiled Yanna or them. Number three is when I'm teasing her, she sometimes go with the flow but sometimes she isn't when she's not in the mood to.

We are not a perfect one but we're trying to be perfect with each other, and we're trying to be a perfect parents for our dearly children. When we just came here, we already processed the kids' papers and now it's legal.

Me: Miss mo'ko? 😯

Yen: Tse! Oo na. 🙄 Nasa bahay ninyo ka parin ba?

Me: Oo, Yen ko. Hintayin mo ako! 😋

Yen: Sure!

I smiled and stood, bahala na, kahit bukas nalang ako babalik o sa makalawa, I think mom needs to process it.

"Ay, hijo! Uwi ka na niyan?" Lumingon ako sa mayordama namin saka tipid na ngumiti.

"Oho, pupuntahan ko po mag-ina ko."

"Ano?" Nahulog ang hawak niyang walis-tambo sa floor tiles dahilan para nagkusa iyon ng ingay. Napatingin sa amin ang ibang kasambahay dahil doon. "Jusko, hijo! Huwag mong sabihin sa amin na hindi ka... Paano iyong apo ko?"

"Pasensya na po, mabait naman si Ella, maganda, pero hindi po ako ang lalaki para sakanya. Saka may anak na kami ng magiging asawa ko, iyong pumunta dito minsan." Ella is my childhood friend, but she have been away for three years to study abroad as a scholar. Ang huling balita ko sakanya ay dalawang taon na ang nakaraan.

Bakas ang lungkot sa mga mata niya pero ngumiti naman agad saka ako tinapik sa balikat. "Nasasayo naman iyan, sila ba iyong pumunta dito noong birthday ni madam?" Tukoy niya kila Yenicka at Yanna.
