I managed to pull my jaw from the ground just long enough to choke out a small, rigid hello.

'Hey Angel, I'm -' he started before I cut him off

'Max, yeah, we met earlier' I smiled at him all the while wondering why he had thought to re-introduce himself. Did he have short term memory loss?

'Yeah, I just wasn't sure if you remebered me, you know, 'cause...' he trailed off. Did I really act so ditzy he thought I wouldn't remember him?

'I don't think anyone really forgets a face within twenty-four hours' I said, more to myself than him 'Oh, I should probably invite you in' I smiled sheepishly, man, I really was a ditz!

'Thanks.'

As he stepped into the house, I watched him as his eyes widened in disbelief.

'Shit! People weren't kidding when they said you had the biggest mansion in the country!' He gazed around, mouth agape 'Oh, sorry I didn't mean to offend you or anything.' Now it was his turn to look sheepishly at me. This was really awkward.

'None taken, it's almost expected that people take notice of the size of our house these days. Hey, I should probably take you up to my room.' I realise I probably should have stated that better, especially with him being a guy at all but it was to late to summon back my words now.

'Oh and by the way, my rooms on the fifth floor so we may need to take the lift, unless that is, your an excercise fanatic like me.'

'Oh! Are you challenging me?' He said this with a very flirty tone and good lord, I swear I nearly melted for the second time that day from the heat of his sexy voice. Suddenly I wasn't so sure it was a good idea to bring him up to my room.

'C'mon then, I'm not waiting any longer. Let's see what you got.' I shot right back at him

Five flights of stairs later and he hadn't even broken a sweat. Damn, he was good.

We started work on essays, he walked me through the structure and for once, I completely understood it!

After about an hour of study, I suggested we go down for refreshments. We would have to make them ourselves at this time of night (5:30, our help left at five) but I can cook so I wasn't phased

We trekked back down the stairs and I noticed how lean and muscly he was, I gotta admit, I love the well defined, tall type and man he was working it to his advantage!

I grabbed me and him a juice and walked over to the bench where he was standing.

I looked up at him, ready to say something about juice with pulp and the health benefits but I got lost in his eyes. They were a beautiful sapphire blue and twinkled like stars. He lent down towards me and on a mad impulse, I set down the juices and stretched up towards him. Gently at first, our lips touched. We broke away, but it seemed Max wanted more and so did I. We tried again and I felt something fizzle and spark as our kiss grew stronger. I twirled my fingers in his hair and he wrapped his arms around my neck. There was a sort of current running through us, something I had never felt before. And I wanted more. I pressed myself still closer to him and kissed him deeply. Eventually though, we were out of breath and broke away, breathing hard

I stepped away from him, still breathing hard. The rate at which we were moving didn't bother me. I was used to guys wanting me to put out on the first date. Not that this was a date... but even so.

'We shouldn't be kissing. We shouldn't even like each other'

'I know we shouldn't be, but lets face it, both of us want to' he stated (very sexily may I add)

'OK well I guess we're gonna have to make it work then aren't we!' I had almost let out a sigh of relief when he said he wanted to be with me. Even though we only just had our first kiss, I think I have some bizarre, screwed up connection with him. Like a really warped version of twilight.

'Cool, so maybe since we seem to be doing things backwards, you wanna go out tonight?'

'Like, on a date?' I questioned

'Yeah, a date'

Inside of me somewhere, a massive celebration had started, apparently my heart was the DJ and it was keeping a very loud, fast beat and I had to tell it to shut the hell up.

I was trying to think of something to say when he pulled my lips back to his.

I got ready for our date after he had left and I started to panic when I realised I had never asked him where we were going. I didn't know whether to wear a dress or something more casual so in the end, I settled for leggings with a very versatile dress over the top.

He turned up right on time and like a gentleman, held all the doors open and waited for me to proceed through before him. It turned out we were having a moonlight picnic (I know, sweetest guy ever, right?) and I was glad I wore the leggings. Unfortunately (or maybe it was fortunate) it got progressively cooler as the night went on and I was soon shivering. Being the gentleman he was, Max offered me his jacket and we soon ended up kissing

I remember getting home tired, but feeling happier than I ever had, Max had made the night perfect for me and had intensified that when he offered to pick me up this morning. Unfortunately though, I had to reject the offer. I mean, I couldn't just waltz into school with a nerd on my arm could I! My reputation would be on the ground and trampled on in minutes.

I walked out of the house thinking about how I would have to keep the relationship a secret and feeling like a shitty girlfriend, but he had to understand that I needed to keep my rep up and going, he didn't have one so he didn't have to worry, but I would die if I was found out.

I was out to my buggy and immediatley the phone rang showing Stacey's number. Funny how little things like that always stay the same even if your undergoing a massive life makeover
