But who?

Max's POV 

I drove back down Angels driveway and into my car park, it was strange having some one who knew where I lived, I was usually pretty solitary. I unlocked my house and stepped in. I remember when  first made the decision to live alone, away from my old life, away from the pain. I had the money to buy the house, as well as a shitload more to place aside for other things I might have needed. Heck, I probably didn't even need to work with the amount of money I had, but I liked it. Especially since that was what had brought me to Angel. I made sure people thought I chose to tutor, but I really did paid tutoring. I guess it was one of the extra measures I took towards making sure I wouldn't be noticed, and I earned easy money too.When I first moved into the house, it scared me, it really did. People say it's stupid for a guy to be frightened, and I used to believe that as well, but back then, the emptiness of the house, a metaphor of my life almost, really freaked me out and showed me why I needed to get back on track. Nowadays, it comforted me to know I was finally detached from it all. That I had escaped.

I went over to the fridge and grabbed the orange juice, pouring myself a glass before I sat down to watch the rugby. I noticed it had started to rain pretty hard and the temperature was dropping so I backtracked quickly and turned the heating on before plopping myself down on the sofa.

I watched the rugby for about half an hour, listening to the rain steadily get heavier, before hearing a knock at the door.

I got up and crossed the room, wondering who it could be. Maybe Angel had left something in my car, apart from all her blood. I laughed to myself, I kinda felt sorry for her. It was obvious she was really embarrassed by it, but it wasn't that bigger deal! She was only human!

I opened the door to a dripping wet figure. Shock and horror disfigured my face as I recognised who it was...
