embarrassment

Max and I made out for a little while but he stopped me before I went too far. See what I mean? It's outrageous how he acts like the girl in our relationship! We lay for a little while longer watching the clouds, me with my head on his chest, him holding my hand

'Max, why me?' I asked

'What?'

'Out of all the girls in the world, you chose me. The biggest bitch out of all of them'

'Angel, I don't know what drew me to you in the first place but I now know that under all your armour, there's a really nice person, someone who needs to be loved and cared for'

I sighed, still unhappy. I didn't deserve him and I knew it.

He laughed at my grumpy expression and gave me a quick kiss before sitting up, pulling me with him.

'C'mon Angel, it's getting on for dark. Let's go.' I realised he was right, the sky was growing darker and looking at my watch, I noticed it was almost five-thirty pm

'Nooo I don't want to move.' I moaned, I had crashed after all of the sugar I had eaten and I was in a happy head space after my afternoon with Max. I didn't want to ruin that by going back to the house and finding my father there.

'Sorry hun but we have to leave' he picked me up in his arms like a sack of potatoes and carried me to the car, plopping me down in the front seat

'Meanie' I scowled at him

He just grinned at me and clipped in my seat-belt

Max's POV

I clipped in Angels seat-belt, god she was cute when she was grumpy! I grinned at her and walked over to my side. Sticking the keys in the ignition, I thought about how lucky I was to have her. She thought she didn't deserve me but really it was the other way around. I loved this girl, she was my life.

I kicked the car into gear and began the long drive home, I knew she must be wondering how I could afford this if I was as poor as I said, but she wasn't ready to know yet. I wasn't ready to let her know. Thanks Jade. Thanks a fuck-load.

Funny how the people you hate often make their way onto your mind more frequently than those you love.

I pulled my head away from those thoughts as soon as I could. Today was a call for celebration. Not dwelling on those who had caused pain in the past.

I took Angels hand in mine and saw her face light up with an intense happiness I had never seen on anyone else. I loved how I could make that special look appear on her face with such a simple gesture.

Angel's POV

I still can't believe he loves me. In a way I wish he didn't because I'm not good enough for him. No girl is. But particularly not me. He took my hand and I smiled to myself, I love this boy.

I fell asleep at some point and woke up just as we were driving up to my house. Max parked the car and got out to walk around to my door. I started to stand up when I felt something wet run down my leg. Oh shit. 

'Hey Max?' I called out

'Yeah?'

'You wanna wait for me up by the door? I've lost an earring somewhere and I just wanna look for it'

'Do you want help?'

'No! I mean, no I'm OK' I yelled. Oh crap I am dead! 'But, um do you have any tissues? I have a runny nose' I lied quickly. Max looked a little mystified but yelled back that they were in the glove box in front of me

I sprung into action, crawling under into the foot space so I could stuff my knickers with tissues before I dealt with whatever damage was above. There was no point in fixing it if I was dirtying the car all over again. 

I can't believe I forgot what the date was! How stupid can one person get?! Finishing with the tissues, I took a tentative peek at the seat I was sitting in and gasped in horror. Holy Fucking Shit! I had never seen such a mess in my life! I took the tissues and attempted to siphon off the blood, but all that happened was it spread into one big, red splodge across the ivory leather seats. 

This could not be happening!

The car door suddenly opened and I looked up at Max as his jaw fell open

'Um I- I'm sorry you were taking a- a while.' He stammered 'I came to see if you were ok'

I flamed bright red with embarrassment. Oh god I can't believe this! Why does the lord hate me?!

'I'm so, so sorry! I didn't know and it was careless and the date but I didn't think!' I rambled, I don't think I made any sense but I tried my best given the situation

Max suddenly found the situation very funny and burst out laughing 'Oh... God... I can't... believe this is... happening now... of all times' he gasped out 'well I guess... at least now's... a good... time to get... to know each other' He was still struggling for breath between the laughing bouts and I blushed even more at my situation.

'Max, I'll pay for the cleaning bill, but we never speak of this again. Got it?' I glowered at him as he finally began to sober up

'Angel you don't have to do that! You already paid for your mistake in embarrassment!' he began to snicker again and I hit him lightly over the head

'I'm paying so your gonna have to deal. Now help me get inside without anyone seeing!'

'Here' Max tied his jacket around my waist so it was covering the massive patch on my outfit.

'Thank you!' I breathed a sigh of relief and we walked up to the porch, holding hands. He kissed me goodbye and walked back to his car, laughing quietly to himself.

I walked inside and ignored my father when he called out a greeting. I marched straight to the lift, not bothered with the exercise shit and pushed level three. 

I undressed and chucked my stuff in the washing basket, the maids would deal with it. I ran a bath and scattered in drops of essential oils, also placing in a bath bomb (you know, the ones that fizz) and a heap of bubble bath. I sank into the bubbly heaven when it was done, ready for some quiet me time.

Hellooooo!

I am so sorry I left you guys! I feel really bad! I was having a bad case of writers block and then I went down to my friend's beach house down at Avoca! I am really happy though because while we were down there, we went ice skating, and in two hours, we taught ourselves crossovers and backwards skating :)! Look me in the eyes and tell me that isn't an awesome achievement! Go on! I dare you!

Anyway! I thought I would apologize because you guys deserve better than that! It's because of you guys that I now have over 3000 reads :) Now THAT'S an achievement to be proud of!

Ha ha I am sounding like my principle, she is a real nut job! 

I can smell raisin toast and now I really want some so I am going downstairs and leaving you guys to read in peace.
