Shoto would not leave her side for a moment after that ordeal.
Aizawa refused to let them share a room but he allowed them to spend time in the living room after hours where he could make sure they were behaving.

It was like Todoroki became unhinged. He would looked beyond worried whenever she left his line of vision, break into a cold sweat and start reaching for her wrist.

"Hey." He flinched as he played around with his food. They were in the cafeteria and she had just returned from a discussion with Kirishima.
"Mm?" He acknowledged her.

"What's up with you? It's been a few weeks now since you've been like this." Azrael looked at him with gentle eyes.

Shoto really liked those eyes. He had memorized every single one of her moon kissed eyelashes to her button nose. He remembered all the beauty marks on her neck and the full Cupid's bow of her lips. He could now picture the bounce of her curls when she would turn her head.

She was so painstakingly beautiful that it hurt.

All because he was afraid he would never see her again. That heartbreaking image of her he had seen as an illusion.

"I'm fine." He said, continuing to push around his noodles.

"Don't give me that crap Shoto." She frowned. He ignored her and continued eating.
He wanted to tell her so badly how he felt. It was like carrying a dark cloud over his head that he wanted to be rid of but he couldn't.

He was afraid of rejection. He wanted to scream, to just tell her but it was so difficult, to the point where it was becoming mentally stifling.

"That's it." He then felt arms grab his waist and he was lifted into the air.
"Azrael, put me down."
He said blankly, ignoring the stares from the cafeteria as they flew over all the heads and through the doors.

She said nothing and continued until they landed at the dorms. She dragged him to his room and then dropped him gently, turning around to stand there facing him, now looking absolutely livid, her horns now out.

"We are going to miss classes." He said quietly.

"You have ten seconds to say something that means something rather than that painful and useless I'm fine."
His throat tightened.
He couldn't, not like this, not when she was looking this angry at him.
