"Hi!" She flew towards the tall boy who smiled softly at her happy face.
"Hello." Shoto gently took her hands as she landed.
"How was your appointment?" He asked as they walked back, hand in hand.
"It was great! I got these!" Azrael held up her arms and to Shoto's fascination, they were encased in silver."What are they for?" He asked curiously, setting his bag down as they sat on the sofa in the dorms.
"Well... you see..." He then frowned at the sight of bandages peaking at the hem of the new gloves.
"What is this?" He poked a strip of it."Well... my skin cracks and shrivels when I use my quirk." She laughed nervously.
"You never told me that! You use your quirk every day!" He looked angry now."I mean... yeah?" She scratched the back of her neck.
"Azrael. If I told you that I was using my quirk to the point I gained frostbite, what would you do." She frowned.
"I see your point... I'm sorry." He shook his head with a sad face.
"How have you been hiding these?" She pulled out a pair of sleeves that matched her skin tone.
"You deliberately hid them from me? But we've been together for years..." She looked horrified when he turned his head away from her."I'm sorry Shoto... it's just... I wanted to be at my best... for myself and for you. I was afraid." He looked back at her with a calculating stare and she gulped.
"Are you scared of me?" He asked suddenly, a fearful look in his eyes.
"No! I just didn't think you want to come near me if my arms were all..." She made a contorted face and he couldn't help but chuckle quietly."Hey." He said quietly. She looked up at him.
"Close your eyes. Remove your gloves." She did so, retracting the silver back into the rings. She felt two large hands clasp hers gently and slowly lift them.
Her fingers felt the rough, calloused skin of his fingers until they were placed on something different."What does this palm feel?" He asked quietly. Her left hand felt smooth, cold skin. She moved her fingers and felt eyelashes.
"Cold but smooth." She said.
"And the other hand?" Shoto asked. She felt a different surface which wasn't the same as the first. It felt thicker,
the texture was tougher and unusually hot,
and she signed."Tough." She said.
"Open your eyes." She did and saw his face inches from hers.
"Do you still find me handsome?" He smiled softly. She looked at his face, the sharp nose and the Cupid's bow of his lips. The different colored eyes flashed back at her, the blue twinkling like sea water in the sun and the grey simmering like a small storm.
The large scar was stark on his face, the redness of it apparent against the milky tones of his skin.
"Very. More than anything I find you very pretty." She grinned.
