"I can just wait outside." Azrael shuffled nervously as they stood infront of the mental institution.

"Why?" Shoto looked at her with confusion on his face.
"Well this seems personal and I really don't want to intrude." She mumbled, fiddling with her fingers.

"Stop lying." He raised an eyebrow.
"Fine. I'm a bit scared. You have a very intimidating family and I don't want to... embarrass myself. She is your mother and that is one of the biggest introductions I can go through you know." He chuckled softly.

"She will like you. Trust me, ok." She nodded and they entered the gate.

"It's smells like bleach in here." She scrunched her nose.
"Your heightened senses have indeed picked up the cleaning products we used." The receptionist chuckled at them as they arrived.

"Morning." Shoto bowed. "Todoroki! Glad to see you again! She is awake and pretty much ready for visitors. I'll notify her. And who is this with you?" She smiled kindly at a visibly shaking Azrael.

"My girlfriend Azrael." He said, gripping her hand gently and stroking her thumb.

"Well isn't this exciting! Go on up you two. Endeavor called this morning Todoroki, he gave her an all pass access." The woman placed an identification card around Azrael's neck.

They walked down the corridor and entered the elevator.
"Are you okay?" He asked her.
"Yeah I'm feeling a bit better." She smiled at him.

"Good because her door is right there." She squealed as he pulled her along.

"I take it back! I ain't ready!" She pulled at his arm but he wouldn't budge. "You wouldn't use your strength on me would you?" He blinked at her.

"No." She allowed herself to be dragged.
Shoto knocked and then entered.

"Hey Mum. How are you." He smiled at her and she returned it.

Azrael stared at the woman who was sitting by the window.
The room they were in was neat, a single bed and desk as well as a cupboard.
It was Todoroki's mother that made Azrael a little stunned.
Todoroki was almost a carbon copy of her,
except for the eyes and the hair and the more feminine attributes.

"Good. I swear I'm still getting used to you being all grown up." He nodded and then turned his head behind him.

"Is there someone with you?" She looked behind her son. Shoto stepped out of the way and Azrael shyly entered.

"Oh a friend! Shoto never brings those here. What's your name?" The woman smiled softly and Azrael had to grab the door handle to stop falling from the surprise at how similar the two looked.

"I'm Azrael Amano. It's great to finally meet you." She smiled brightly and bowed.
"She isn't a friend mother, she is my partner." The woman blinked slowly at him.

"You got a girlfriend?" She looked at Azrael. "Hi." She smiled nervously.

"But this is amazing! Come here." She gestured to Azrael to come and sit down on a stool.

"Do tell me about yourself and why you're with him." She giggled and the woman smiled.

"Well it started when I got to school. I was late you see and I asked him to partner up with me..."

"I must admit, I haven't been entertained like that in a while. She's a lovely girl." Shoto smiled at his mother whilst Azrael stood behind him, her wings fluttering lightly.

"I almost forgot!" Azrael then reached for a bunch of flowers that she had discarded on the desk with her bag.

"He mentioned that these were your favorites so I picked them at a florist." The woman smiled at the flowers in her arms.

"That is very thoughtful of you. They are my favourite." She hugged the girl gently then broke away.

"You two had better go, you don't want to miss your train alright? Quickly." She waved at Azrael who was eagerly waving back until the door closed.

"You remind me of her a lot." Shoto looked at Azrael, indicating she could continue as they entered the elevator.

"You're both so gentle. You're very kind you know." He blushed.

Todoroki stared out of the train window,
Azrael sleeping on his shoulder with soft snores leaving her lips.

It was a good thing, he decided, that he brought her to visit his mother. He felt as if it was something he had been bothered about, how she had met everyone else but not the person that had shown him love as a child.

"I have no more secrets left with you." He mumbled, looking at her face and pushing a curl, only to watch it bounce back.

"So you're stuck with me. You're not allowed to leave." He sighed, closing his eyes.

The gentle clack of the train was soothing and Azrael's wings,
as always, were warm and fluffy.

It wasn't very crowded, for it was quite late due to their long walk and also since they were stopped a lot ever since they were on TV for helping Hawks and Endeavor with the water villain.

Azrael had looked even more alarmed than he did, for she had never got that amount of attention, not since the kidnapping.

"We got about an hour." He looked at his phone. He set an alarm and then nodded off to sleep himself.

All in all, he had had a pretty good day.
