"Now you have really good speed, so I'm glad I don't have to wait for you." Hawks said as they glided next to each other.

"However, you do have a problem." He looked at her confused face.

"Cramped spaces." She groaned as he laughed.
"You're an amazing flyer, don't get me wrong, but I bet you have never flown in a narrow alley before, or been chased in a street. Sometimes open air makes you too obvious of a target and taking the streets is your go to option." She thought for a moment.

"How do you do it?" She asked.
"I, unlike you, can remove my feathers at will. It's much easier for me. So up here in the clouds, we are going to strengthen those wings." They stopped, hovering she as watched the clouds get pushed aside by their wings.

"Okay, now you trust me?" She nodded, a little nervous.
"I'm going to touch you. Don't fly okay?" He gripped underneath her arms tightly and her wings went limp.

"Now spread em." She blushed.
"I saw that. Kids nowadays."
He smiled. She huffed in annoyance, but spread her wings nonetheless.

"You see? They aren't straight." She looked behind at her wings and saw that they were indeed a little bent.

"Your wings are like limbs. I'll give an example. A dancer trains their legs everyday, going further and further and then finally, they can do a solid split." She nodded in understanding.

"Now retract them." She curled them in as much as she could.
"You seem to be alright like this. You could go much further however. Flap em again kid, else I'll drop ya." She did and she hovered beside him.

"Slightly sore aren't they?" He smiled at her slight wince.

"Yeah. I didn't know they could go further." She said.
"Let's go back down. I'll go missing for a day and help you train up. I'll call Jeanist to make sure." They then dived into the clouds until they saw the city once more.

Shoto gave a small wave at an excited child who was pointing at him and his father, pleased to see the large smile the little girl gave back.

It was a surprisingly nice day, the sun wasn't harsh and there was a cool breeze.

So far his father hasn't been too pushy, allowing him to pat the heads of small children that ran up to him and he himself waiting patiently for scared people to ask his father for a picture.
