// Protection For Flying //

Flying is dangerous, obviously. Sure, you could fall to your death or accidentally run into an airplane, but there are smaller, less talked about dangers as well.

The first thing i'd like to talk about is your eyes. I'm not sure how fast we will be able to fly or glide, but when diving, we can go up to 120 mph and probably faster.
You know when you stick your head out of the window of a car, and your eyes dry out and get really itchy really fast? Imagine how much more it would hurt if you were going twice that speed.
We would need some sort of covering, goggles. i'm considering making custom ones to put in my shop, but things like snowboarding goggles will work, maybe even swim goggles that are over $15 so they don't break. Things like glasses won't work, because 1. they'll fall off, and 2. theyre glass. Those science goggles probably won't work either because they fall off easily, and they're very uncomfortable. The goggles will need to have an elastic strap to go around the back of your head.

The second thing is you need to protect your ears. Yeah sure they're get cold when you're flying 60 mph 1000 ft in the air, but that's not what i'm talking about. Remember what I said about the going over 120 mph when diving? The sound of the wind can really hurt your ears. You know when you open the car window on a highway, and it's really loud? Like that, but worse.
I don't think skydivers use any sort of protection for their ears, but that's because they aren't as high in the air as we will be. And the longer we dive, the faster we go, because physics. The faster we go, the louder it gets. So, I recommend getting some kind of noise cancelling headphones what won't fall off when flying. I'm also considering making these to sell way later on, but i'm honestly not sure how to make sure they stay on your head at the moment.

The next thing is temperature. I've seen this one talked about before. The higher you go, the colder it gets, and if you decide to fly in winter it will definitely be freezing. But baggy clothes are a no-go, they'll get in the way of your flying. So you will probably need to layer, a long sleeved shirt, one of the jackets you use for figure skating that helps keep warm, and a thick coat on top with some sort of soft material on the inside. You will need thick gloves with clips so that they won't fall off. For pants, i'd say the leggings they use in figure skating would be good, because you need something that will allow flexibility, and they keep you very warm. For your face, I'd say wear a mask but it'll already be a bit hard to breathe, so uh, good luck with that?

To be honest, what I've been talking about sounds a lot like what Hawks from mha has (with the goggles and the noise canceling headphones) so that's a pretty good comparison. But his jacket would definitely get in the way of flying, so.

I hope this was helpful! Any requests on what I should talk about or research next?
