A better name?

I think I may have talked about this before, but I don't know for sure.
I feel as if the name mythical was chosen only because they couldn't find a better name for it. Like Avian, we aren't part-bird, the only bird-related thing we have is wings, and those aren't even bird wings, they're our wings. But at least Avian is a better word for us with wings than mythical is to everyone in this community.
Because literally, it means:

For the first definition, almost everyone in the mythical community has picked something to "shift" to that isn't from a myth or folktale. Of course, there are mermaids, I'm pretty sure Phoenix is one too.

For the second definition, we don't really have a past, that we know of anyways.

The third one is just no. We are real.

See what I mean? But I think the reason that this name was chosen was because there are almost no other names that would fit the definition of what we are.

So, I did some "research".

"Mystical" is one that I thought of, it is pretty spiritual and religious though, but a lot of it's synonyms are things like "paranormal" And "supernatural"

If we are going to keep mythical, why not shorten it? Mythicals (with an s) isn't an actual word, you wouldn't call unicorns and dragons mythicals, you would call them mythical creatures, but Mythics (well, mythic's) is, and overall it just sounds better to me.

I mean we could say we are "paranormal", I would say "supernatural" but that is a show and idk about you but I am not part of that fandom.

Again, this is just an idea, and I haven't really come up with any good ideas yet, but comment what you think about this! Should we try and change the name mythical? Or should we just keep it how it is? Do you have any ideas on what it could be changed to?
