I've decided to continue this, because I recently had an idea.
In biology today we were talking about cell differentiation. If you don't know what that is, its the process by which a less specialized
cell becomes a more specialized cell type. Meaning, it's changing a cells task. Here's an image to better explain what I'm talking about.

So that got me thinking... isn't that kind of what we're doing when growing wings? (Correct me if I'm wrong). I plan to look more into this and how this works.

Another thing, keratin. It's what feathers are made if, but also what hair and fingernails are made of.

Feathers: A feather is a scale in which a long center shaft, the rachis, is the dominant feature. On either side of the shaft, the keratin is divided into tiny barbs that, under a microscope, look like the close-knit leaves of a fern. The barbs have tiny hooks, or hamuli, on them, which help the barbs attach to one another and keep them close to each other. These interlocked barbs are called the vane of a feather. It is made of beta keratin.

Hair: The structure of hair is different from that of scales and feathers. A hair is basically a cone of keratin that is derived from keratinized cells in the dermis, or middle layers of skin. The hair is generated and formed in a pit in the skin called the follicle. The hair has an inner and outer sheath. Near the base of each hair attached to the follicle is a small muscle, called an erector pilli. It is also made of beta keratin.

Hair and feathers are pretty much the same thing, but with different structure. So to grow feathers, we would have to tell our subconsciousness to change the structure of the hair and where it needs to grow.

These are just rough ideas so please keep that in mind.

I want to give yall proof that growing wings is real. And how will I do that? I'm most likely not going to have pictures of wing growth on here. But, owning a microscope is very useful. If you read my latest entry on my newest journal, you know that I recently found a tiny feather, and I'm not sure if it came from me or not. But I can figure it out. You see, each person's hair has a unique pattern of proteins in a strand. So, wouldn't that be the same pattern in feathers? If the patterns match, then I'll know that that feather is mine. Please give me advice on this because science is not my strongest subject-

Oh also my microscope is in a random box somewhere so it may take me a while to find it-
