"Kretcher, stop bellowing you-" Sirus demands of the elf.

The elf shoots an evil glare at Sirius and stops crying. I'm still holding onto Snape because my life may very well depend on it.

"Sirius, does the name Judith mean anything to you?" Snape asks him.

Shocked by being called his real name, Sirius takes a moment but shakes his head. Snape takes my hand and returns us to our seats as he gestures for Sirus to do the same.

"Mr. Kretcher, do you know my daddy?" I ask him.

"Of course, Mistress Black. Your father was the kindest master I'd known." Kretcher tells me nodding.

I turn to Sirius and gently look him over. He has the same hair color as me. There is a more wild look to his eyes but the same as my father's.

"Sirius, my daddy was Regulus Black." I tell him. I'd grown tired of the games.

"You're mother?" He asks. Now both men looked at me curiously.

"Judith Smalls. She was a direct descendent of Merlin. That's all I really recall." I tell them a bit proudly.

"How do you know?" Sirius asks me.

I grab a book out of my satchel and show him. It was my mother's diary, one of the few things I had left.

"It's in here. My dad and mom met by some cave in the ocean. The power she held made her scared. He saved her." I say sadly.

I feel Snape put a hand on my shoulder and give me a gentle look that I'm sure he doesn't show often.

"Why'd you bring her here, Snape?" he asks him, ignoring me.

"She's to stay with you for summer. She wants to know her family and Dumbeldore requested it. He's having her luggage shipped." Snape tells Sirius.

I look at Snape confused.

"I'm supposed to stay here with him, alone?" I question.

"Ms. Black, is there an issue?" he asks me with a raised eyebrow.

I look at Sirius who seems to be studying my interaction with Snape. I look at the two men then to the elf. I pull Snape down to me as his face goes shocked I whisper to him, "I don't think I'm exactly welcome."

He pulls away and clears his throat. He adjusts his robes and shakes his head.

"You'll be fine." he tells me.

"You're welcome to stay, it's your home as much as mine." Sirius tells me. I nod to him.

"If it isn't too much trouble, I'd hate to put you out." I say thinking back to the orphanage.

At the orphanage I was one of the older children and didn't get along wtih many people. I was considered "problematic" and placed in my room the majority of the time. Once I'd gotten to school they'd given me my moms diary and I found out more family information.

I'd met John and Wendy my first year and we'd been friends since. Now, I wonder what they would say. I guess more Wendy than John, I don't even know if he cared.

"I'll be leaving. Ms. Black, any issues owl me and I will come immediately." He says patting me on the shoulder and leaving.

"Are you hungry?" Sirius asks after a long silent pause. I nod and look at him, again.

"I didn't know I had an uncle, for the record."I tell him.

"I didn't know I had a neice." Sirius tells me. We both stop and burst out laughing. He drapes an arm around my shoulder and orders Kretcher to bring us lunch which he happily does.

"Thank you Mr. Kretcher." I say as he places sandwiches in front of us.

"Mistress, you're too kind to an old elf like I." He tells me taking my hand.

"Absoluetly not, I'm grateful." I tell him sincerely. I was raised with manners at the minimum.

"Kretcher, get out." Sirius says and Kretcher begins mumbling under his breath as he walks out of the room.

"Why are you like that towards him and Snape?" I ask.

"Snape is alot of things, that's a seperate converstion. Kretcher shares the royal views of the House of Black. I was kicked out you see." he tells me. I nod, urging him to continue.

"The House of Black believes that Muggleborns are below us, Purebloods. Here we have the Sacred 28 and they are considered, superior if you will by certain people." Sirius tells me.

"I don't understand. Are they royalty or something?" I ask taking a bite of the delicious sandwich.

He lets out a rough laugh. "To some people, yes. I disagreed with this, some of my best friends were muggleborn. How did you feel about it?"

"I assume Muggles and Non-Mag are the same things. I mean I guess there was some of that in America too. I mean, I don't think really differently of anyone I suppose." I say considering his question.

"I should have known seeing you interact with Kretcher." He laughs.

We finish our sandwiches and he excuses himself to write a letter to someone and shows me to a room. He told me it was my fathers and Iwas welcome to use it. When I walk in it's decorated with green and silver. The room was well taken care of compared to the rest of the house I'd seen. There were pictures of my dad and Snape and another man I didn't recognize.

I run my hand along my dad's face. I'd wish I could remember more. I set my luggage at the bottom of the bed and see books on the shelf. I pick them up realizing they were my fathers books from school. I smile to myself as I sit on the bed to read. There are little notes hidden on the sides. I lay back and feel myself drift off into a comfortable slumber.
