I'd studied every day that summer. Looking for clues on my dad. Sirius told me what he could as did Remus.
Turns out Sirius had a hipogriff in his attic named Buckbeak. Beautiful, strong, and proud as I stroked his beak. I'd decided against asking Kretcher further questions. I couldn't stand seeing him hurt himself. Dumbeldore had come a few times to see how I was settling but offered little help in the way of knowing my past.
Toward the end of the summer Snape had shown up. He'd offered to take me to the Weasley family who'd extended an offer to see the Quidditch World Cup. I had packed my possessions and said my goodbyes and now stood clutching onto Snape's arm. We apparated to a house in a valley.
The house stood very tall and slightly lop sided. It looked well loved and full of stories. I held onto Snape's arm as we walked closer to the home. Just before entering I stop him and he turns his head to look down at me.
"Yes, Ms. Black?" he questions.
"Well, when you have time, if you have time can you tell me more about my father?" I ask.
"Why would you ask me?" Snape questions with a drawl.
"You were friends they told me." I answer as if it was the simplest answer in the world.
"Gryffindors." He said with venom laced in his voice. "I will try."
"Thank you, for everything. Really." I say. Snape was very accomadating since my arrival ensuring my safety. It was nice being cared for, something I hadn't directly recived from anyone other than John and Wendy.
I hadn't heard from either of them, yet. Wendy told me to write when I'd gotten settled and I sent her a letter saying I'd met my uncle but no word back. I decided to send her another letter later that evening if Icould find a moment.
Snape knocks on the door of the home and a short plump woman answers the door.
"Severus, come in." she says. He leads the way in with his robes flowing in the wind and I finally get a look inside the house.
It was a cozy home, portraits hung on the walls. A strange grandfather clock in the dining room with what I assumed to be thier childrens faces.
"Come in, dear." The woman tells me pulling me into a hug which I'd glady returned.
"Molly, this is Saiph Black." He intrdocues me.
She pulls back and looks me over.
"I didn't know Sirius had a child." she says to Snape offering him a cup of tea.
"Sorry, ma'am. My father is Regulus." I say proudly. From what I'd been able to learn he was a nice guy who made some bad choices in the past.
Her eyes turned large turning to Snape who'd just nodded in response. I had to admit after seeing Sirius and more photos of my father, the two could pass for twins. The high cheekbones, long dark hair, tall, slim figures.
"How old are you?" Molly questions.
"I'll be 17, in my sixth year of schooling." I tell her.
"You're a year older than my twins, although the same year." she says excitedly. I nod. At least I can find a familiar face among the crowd.
"I'll be going now, if you're okay Ms. Black." Snape says standing from his chair. I nod.
"Thank you so much again." I say pulling him into a hug. He looks shocked but embraces me back.
Shortly after he leaves Molly calls her children downstairs. There are four children present. A set of twins that Molly had said about, then a boy and girl.
"This is Fred and George. They're in your year." Molly introduces.
They look at me each wearing a smirk on their faces. They each take one of my hands to thier mouths, kissing the back of it.
"It's a pleasure." The one says.
"Very much so." The other boy says. I blush and nod.
"Can you two stop teasing her?" The young girl says coming to my rescue.
"I'm Ron." the boy finally says.
"And I'm Ginny. Ignore our brothers, please." she says pinching the bridge of her nose.
I giggle and nod. "I'm Siaph Black."
"Black?" the twins say simultaneously.
"Yes?" I question confused.
Molly shoos the boys into the kitchen leaving Ron and Ginny with me in the living room. They tell me they have three other brothers who'd all been gone from the house now.
A man entered through their door taking off his hat and greeting his wife with a kiss to the cheek.
"Busy day, today. I must learn the function of a electrical socket." the man says to his wife.
"Honey, Harry and Hermione will be arriving tonight. However, we have one extra guest." Molly says pointing to me. She whispers something to him causing his eyes to widen and looks over at me. I assume it was who I was. This reaction was gettign a tad old.
I wave a friendly hello and a polite smile as I turn to Ginny and Ron.
"Who are Harry and Hermione?" I ask them.
"My friends. Harry Potter and Hermione Granger." Ron says proudly.
I smile and nod. I'd read something about a Harry Potter before. Apparently, they called him the boy who lived. He'd survived Voldemorts killing curse.
"I think I've heard of Harry." I say trying to recall the story properly.
"Of course, everyone has. He's famous here." Ron says puffing his chest a bit.
I shrug and turn to Ginny and discuss American teams of Quidditch versus some of the teams here. Dinner time had come and we all were seated at the table as the other guests arrived together.
"Harry, Hermione, this is Saiph Black." Ron introduces me to his friends.
I extend my hand and Hermione takes it first.
Harry reaches for his wand and points it at me causing me to do the same.
"Who are you?" He asks with a dangerous look in his eyes.
"I might ask you the same. Not polite anywhere, I reckon to point a wand at someone." I say challenging him.
Before anything further could occur one of the twins picks me up and places me back in my seat at the table.
"Fred, George, whatever, I was speaking." I say dangerously to the twin that pulled me apart.
"Mum will have a field day. It's Fred by the way." He says patting my head.
I look at Mrs. Weasly sheepishly and apologize. That woman held something about her that screamed not to get on her bad side.
