"Where did you find this?" He asks finally looking up at me.

"In a book in the library. Looks familiar, the handwriting." I note.

"Indeed it looks like your father's writing. I want you to take this to Dumbeldore. Do your best to avoid Umbridge, she's awful." He says with distaste.

"You'll tell our 'friends'?" I question, not knowing what to call our mini group. He nods and sends me on my way with a small smile.

I rush out and try to locate Dumbeldore's office. Classses were changing over so it was difficult to sneak in. I figured Icould use the commotion as a distraction as I sat in front of his office. I realized quickly, nobody told me the password. The only thing to do was wait.

The halls cleared and I begin to look at the paintings. They've always facinated me. The paintings here could visit each other and move around freely.

"Miss? Shouldn't you be in class?" I hear a voice whine behind me. Gulping I turn around and meet face to face with Umbridge.

"Yes, sorry, lost in thought." I lie trying to avoid her gaze.

"You best be off, don't want a detention." she smiles at me.

I take her warning and leave the front of the office in search of hermione. I eventually find her sitting under a tree in front of the lake. The wind had blown and slightly caused her hair to blow. She looked so peaceful, I almost didn't want to disturb her.

I quietly walk up and take a seat next to her, laying my head on her shoulder. Upon further inspection, Inotice that she'd been reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. She doesn't move as she continues to read, finishing up her chapter.

Hermione closes her book and rests her head on top of mine.

"What's up?" she asks me.

"Just a few more moments of peace, please. Before I destroy it." I say snuggling in closer to her.

Hermione nods and we sit quietly staring out into the lake. You could see for what seemed like miles. The way the sky touched the water, the mountains in the backround. I'd been here for awhile and never appreciated this spot as much as I do now.

"I was supposed to find Dumbeldore, but I'd found a list." I say after a few more moments.

Hermione takes a deep breath, and I realize she was listening.

"It said Horcruxes and some list underneath it." I continue on."It looked like my father's handwriting."

"Horcruxes.. do you remember the note?" I ask her.

"You think that's what the locket is?" she asks confirming my thoughts.

I nod. "They may be what holds souls. I think we'll need to figure out how they do it. Make one I mean."

A feeling of sadness washes over me. This was probably where I started feeling more anxious than ever about it all. I knew I'd have to tell Dumbeldore, but would he try to hide this information from the Order? I'd have to wait until I saw Charlie to tell him. I haven't trusted the owls lately. Rumors been that the Ministry had been intercepting them.

"Let's see if we can't grab Dumbeldore and head to the library. You have a free period now?" Hermione asks breaking me from my thoughts. I nod and she takes my hand and leads me back to his office.

This time Umbridge wasn't there to stop us. McGonagall actually approaches this time.

"What ever are you two doing here?" she asks us.

"I need to talk to Professor Dumbeldore, immediately. It's in regards to something he's asked of me." I said hoping she'd understand.

Luckily, she does. She whispers the password, giggle juice. The gargoyle spisn revealing the staircase and Hermione and I waste no time running up to his office.

"Ladies, is everything okay?" he asks us, gesturing for us to take seats.

"Horcrux. It's what I think the locket is." I pull the new note from my pocket and explain I'd found it in a book. I further explained it wasn't in the book I was reading but would continue to look into it.

"So, you've told Ms. Granger everything?" he asks.

I nod, staring him straight in the eyes.

"I do believe I may have been too hasty in my decision to keep it from you, Ms. Granger. I'd like you to keep this information to you and Siaph, until we know fully what we're up against." He asks of her and the twinkle in his eyes return.

"Sir, we're headed into a war. Is it really safe to lead everyone blindly into it?" she asks him.

"Most of you are underage. I must insist that the information is kept to a minimum. We don't want to cause hysteria." he tells her.

"That's bullshit. I mean I get not telling everyone but why can't we tell Harry?" I ask him.

"Well, I assume with Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley will follow." he tells me.

"That's what friends do. Support each other.." I say back. I hated acting like this towards the one man who may be helpful but he'd been asking alot.

"Harry..." Hermione says his name gently.

I look at her as she is in deep thought. Relization of something hits her and she looks sadly at Dumbeldore. He nods sadly and turns to look out the window.

"What is it?" I ask looking back and forth between them.

"Go get Snape." Dumbeldore says to one of the paintings before turning to me. "Siaph, the truth may be the most painful thing you are about to hear. I don't want you to be here if you aren't ready."

"Whatever it is, I'm sure it will work out." Isay trying to ease Hermione who looks like she wants to throw up.

She shakes her head. Tears now coming and silent sobs escaping from her. I sit next to her and hold her hand before she lays her head on my chest. I put my free hand on the top of her head petting her gently, still confused.
