The moment my mother walked in with Snape, barely hanging on to life, took my breath away. He was alive, if just to live a few moments longer. My father was by his side first, I followed shortly after.
"I've done what I can. For now, he needs rest." my mother tells me as she assisted him into one of the makeshift cots.
"Siaph, you need to go to Charlie. He's lost his brother." My father tells me, pointing into the direction where the Weasley clan stood.
I nodded, initally not wanting to interrupt their moment of silence. I walk up next to him and pull him into a warm hug. He sobbed into my chest as I rubbed my hands onto his back. Words couldn't fix this. Words couldn't measure to what grief the enitre family had to have been feeling.
"Siaph, I love you. The moment we leave here, I'm whisking you away." he tells me, kissing me.
I embrace the moment, feeling his warm lips on mine. In that moment I furtherly burned his smells, warmth, and love into my brain. If it didn't feel real before, it was now. We could lose one another at any moment, and I wasn't willing to waste it.
Some cleared their throat causing us to pull apart. I look over and see my father standing with Sirius, waiting to speak.
"Siaph, there isn't much time. I don't know what is going to happen in the upcoming hours, but you need to know how much Ilove you." My dad tells me.
"I'd never imagined you were alive, let alone going to fight along side us." Sirius says patting his brothers shoulder.
"I'll tell you all about it later. You better survive this." my dad says smiling. A warmth spread in my chest before he looks over Sirius' shoulder.
"I'm sorry for the loss of your friend and his spouse. I know you were quite close." my dad adds.
"Remus went out the way he wanted, fighting until the end." Sirus smiles sadly.
It was unfair and unjust that so much had been ripped away from the man who didn't deserve it.
"Actually, Imay be able to help with that." my mother's voice rings out.
The men move aside allowing her to join our group.
"What is it, Mom?" I beg. I'd do anything, just to help that baby grow up with a family. To help Sirius have his friend back.
"It won't be easy and I can't guarantee he'll be one hundred percent himself afterwards." she begins.
Nodding I urge her to continue. "I'll do what I can, but know I love you."
Leaving me dumbfounded, she whispers into my father's ear. He nods and smiles sadly at her. She looks back at him with love and admiration as she grins happily in return.
"Now, the sword is in our possession. The Longbottom boy has agreed to go for the snake. We are aware of Harry's sacrifice, that will just leave him." my dad tells me, as my mom gives me a warm embrace.
She kisses my forehead and pulls away, "I'm going back out to help the others. Stay here and help Poppy."
I nod and watch her silhouette as she leaves the Great Hall. I find Charlie in a deep conversation with Bill, as I join his side. Some of the others including my dad and Sirius had gone in search of those who needed aide. He wrapped an arm around my waist as the two continued on in hushed tones.
In the next moment, the castle shook. The roars of dragons overcame the castle. They circled in the sky, awaiting to be called. Florin grinned as he lowered onto the ground. He climbed off his broom and pulled Charlie and I into a hug.
