Forever, Love

I opened my eyes, feeling warmth overtake my body. The sun was shining down brilliantly as I walked into the open field. I looked around and saw hills in the distance, butterflies flying, and the expansive field in front of me with tall grass. Behind me was a forest, not the one I'd previously been in.

I walked a bit further and saw a silhouette in the distance. My curiosity got the better of me as I began sprinting toward the figure. They seemed to be walking away as I approached, leading further and further into the field. As I was running, I noticed that it didn't exhaust me as it should've. I was able to breath easily, not feeling my muscles burn as one would expect.

Deciding to test a theory, I slowed down my pace. The figure ahead slowed down as well. I came to a complete stop and watched the shadow of a person do the same. Wondering what would occur if I'd turned around, I looked over my shoulder to see the figure also doing the same. I still couldn't make out a face on the person. I realized that my running had been in vain, I was still in the same spot I started from. The forest now in front of me.

I looked once more over my shoulder to see the figure, just staring onwards toward me. I decided to sit down and watched as the silhouette did the same. Sighing, I laid back and looked up at the sky. The clear blue sky contained no clouds, and the suns warmth heating me.

I don't know how long I'd laid there before hearing some rustling in the grass near me. Sitting up, I instinctivly reached for my wand. Wherever I was, I didn't have my wand on my person. Hoping it wasn't someone who'd mean me harm, I slowly stood up.

I looked into the distance and saw the silhouette now standing as well, still copying my motions. I  looked into the grass and noticed a fox staring at me. If the situation were different, I could swear the fox were staring right into my soul. It seemed almost human, the way it cautiously stared at me and appraoched.

Sighing, I sat back down, hoping for someone to come along. It wasn't bad here, quite oppisite actually. Some may describe it as paradise; calm, warm, inviting. I stood up wondering if Iwas able to go into the woods, since the field seemed to be off limits.

Standing I looked to the figure in the distance who seemed to still continue copying my every motion. I looked over to the fox, who sat patientlly, daring me to move. I wasn't sure why it remained still, most animals running at human contact. I took a deep breath and attempted to go into the forest, realizing I was now able to move.

The fox walked near me, following at a distance. The figure did the same, walking but remaining far enough away. I wondered who the figure was as I walked further into the unfamiliar forest.

I felt like I'd been walking for awhile, but came across a cottage with a small stream running near it. Noticing the fire was lit inside, shining through the shade of the tall trees, I approached. I gently knocked on the door and heard some shuffling from inside. I turned to see the figure and fox standing still, watching.

The door slowly opened, revealing the one person I wouldn't expect to be here. Charlie.

"Ch..Charlie?" I ask.

"Siaph, took you long enough. Come in, invite your friend." he tells me gesturing toward the fox.

I turned my head in confusion, but the fox seemed to understand Charlie's words as it passed me. We walked into the small cottage, one similar to Hagrid's. The fire was lit and Charlie had a pot of soup cooking over it. I looked at him and he gave me a warm smile.

"Charlie.. where are we?" I ask him.

"Where do you think we are?" he questions back. I shrug.

"You chose this place, I'd assumed it meant a great deal to you." he says sitting at the table across from me. The fox found a comfortable spot near the fire, still watching our interaction.
