Darkness...

All around you was nothing, but darkness. Your instincts knew you were caged, you had been for a very long time. Ages ago, it seems, you had been captured on Helion Prime. The Necromongers had taken you and many others, but the Lord Marshal had some weird interest with you. He had you thrown into a dark room, and now it just seemed that you had been long forgotten. You had no clue how long it had been, but you didn't care. All you knew was that you wanted out of your dark prison.
The walls were metal, and the cool, stale air, made your dark prison cold. There was never light, except when your daily meal was pushed into your cage by a sliver of an opening, then it was closed and there was darkness again. The food was all you knew at this point. No companion for who knows how long had you sitting in silence until you slept. Sometimes, you didn't even know if you did sleep. The occasional scraping of metal would remind you that you were awake. There were guards outside, and you knew that. There was always someone standing by your door, guarding it, as if you could escape. You only knew they were there when they'd move. You could hear the metal of their armor when they would shift, and the sounds of their heavy boots when they'd trade shifts.

This was your life. Nothing, but darkness and food once a day. The food was your only way of truly keeping track of time, and to be honest, you didn't even know if it was accurate. Your own filth had been on one side of the room, but you could only keep it on one side for so long. You smelled, and you knew you did, but you'd become blind to it now. What else could you do? There was nothing, and you felt weak sometimes. You did what exercises you could to keep fit, but the lack of nutrients made it hard.
You didn't know when this dark nightmare would end. You were alone, and with no one and nothing, you knew you would soon succumb to the insanity of the darkness. Being half furyan was what kept you alive for so long, and you knew that. Furyans lived on a harsh world, which earned them their strength, and strong survival instinct, but in your case, it was a curse.

A curse that you wanted to end...

The scraping of metal is what woke you. Light began to leak into your cage. Being in the darkness for so long made the light blinding to you. Fear began to grip you.

Was this death, you thought. Is my nightmare finally over?

Little did you know that your real nightmare had only begun.
