Time went by you differently. The pain you were already feeling was intense. Everything you knew was about to change. The Purifier, Irklak, led you toward a strange room. It had a chair in the middle of it. There was a mechanism stationed above it, but you decided you didn't want to look.
Everything seemed slow, and fast at the same time. One second you were walking, next you were being sat in the chair. Locks wrapped around your wrists and ankles, then a strap was wrapped across your forehead. The Purifier spoke, but you didn't listen to a word he was saying. Something had poked your wrists, but you didn't know what it was. You couldn't look, and you couldn't move.

Time seemed to slow even more for you. You began to feel weak. The lights began to blur, and the darkness seemed to almost encase you. Closing your Y/E/C eyes, you began to see memories. You saw yourself running through the streets of New Mecca, then you saw your friends, and your mother. They were all happy and laughing.
You felt tears roll down your face at the sight of them, then it was all blown away. Now, you saw New Mecca in ruins, and a Necromonger tower standing in the middle of the city. Looking down, you saw blood on your hands, and the bodies of your friends, and your mother on the floor. The pain of losing them made you scream. There was nothing you could do.

Suddenly, there was a sharp pain in your neck. The pain went through your entire body. You wanted to scream, but you couldn't. Suddenly, your eyes were forced open, and you were being lifted up. The pain was everywhere, and nowhere all at once. You wanted to move, but every limb you attempted to move wouldn't budge.
The pain just seemed to linger for days. You'd no clue as to how much time had really passed. Your body hung in the air next to the Converts of the planet the Necromongers had recently conquered. They were in the same state as you were.

After some time, the pain turned numb, and it even began to dull into nothing. After what seemed like weeks, the mechanism holding you up began to lower. The loud screeching it made was loud, but it didn't bother you. Once close to the ground, the spikes in your neck pulled themselves from your flesh, and you dropped to the ground. The hard floor was cold, and was soon covered in blood from your neck. The bleeding soon stopped, and you slowly sat up.
The Purifier, and Lord Vaako, came into the room. The door let in bright light, and you had to cover your eyes. The two men stopped in front of you, blocking the light, and you looked up at them.

"You are now one of us," The Purifier stated.

Taking a breath, you looked at The Lord Marshal.

"I will never be one of you," you hissed.

Vaako chuckled. Leaning down, he placed a metal collar around your neck.

"Well, you are. Like it or not, you will be labeled as a Convert," he said softly. "You will be grateful I had this done."

You looked down at the ground as he attached a chain to your collar. Handing the chain to The Purifier, he spoke again.

"Take her to her new chambers. She'll need rest before she begins training."
