The man let out a deep growl, and Vaako came to stand in front of you.

"Riddick," Vaako snarled. "Come back to take the Throne?"

The man, Riddick, chuckled, and looked over at the dagger in his hand, then he looked back at Vaako.

"I've come back for something," Riddick paused for a moment, then he continued. "A whole lot sweeter than that."

"And what would that be," Vaako hissed.

"Revenge," was all Riddick stated before he threw the knife at Vaako.

Within a second, you were moved away from the threat. Vaako had grabbed you, as he'd dodged the weapon. Riddick's eyes widened, and he turned around to be hit by Vaako. Vaako growled, and stepped back to let his challenger up onto his feet. Wiping the blood from his lip, Riddick looked up at Vaako.

"Seems you've developed some new skills," he grumbled.

Getting up, Riddick looked over at you, and chuckled.

"It seems you even gained a new weakness in the process."

Vaako growled at Riddick causing the man to chuckle. Within the blink of an eye, Vaako grabbed ahold of Riddick, by the armor he wore, and he threw him across the floor away from you. The throne stopped Riddick from continuing across the room. With a groan, the man got up, and quickly went to grab a weapon from a nearby Necromonger. When the soldier tried to keep ahold of the gun he held, Riddick kicked him down. It was obvious that the man before Vaako was hell bent on his revenge, however, if he won the fight, he'd become Lord Marshal... again.

This was the ex-Lord Marshal Vaako had spoken about. He never converted, and didn't show a single care to the faith. He didn't concur a single world, didn't name a next in line, and didn't look over important documents. Because of his carelessness, you had to remain in the darkness of a prison cell for longer than you had too. Rage began to build up inside of you at this thought. Vaako may have seemed like a demon at the time, but in reality, he was an angel. If it wasn't for him doing what was required of a Lord Marshal, you still would've been in the darkness.

You knew better than to interfere, however, you also had a bone to pick this man.

With a scowl on your face, a deep rage began to fill you. Not only had you been locked in a dark room, but your friend, your first friend, was murdered by him. Grabbing a sword from a statue in the room, you pushed through the crowd until you were in the ring.

"No, Y/N," Vaako yelled at you.

His eyes on you was the moment Riddick struck, but Vaako was ready. The dagger in hand, Riddick went to stab your husband, but Vaako put up an armored arm. The blade went through his wrist, and the bulky man pushed further down causing Vaako to lose his footing. Now on the cold floor, Vaako used all the strength he had to keep the point of the dagger from going through his eye. Riddick growled, then roared with anger.

"You never should have betrayed me, Vaako," he yelled. "You could've been Lord Marshal without having to go through me now!"

With another grunt, Riddick continued to push down on the blade, and Vaako groaned.

"You were never one of the faith," Vaako hissed. "You were never a true Lord Marshal. You didn't deserve the place."

You could see that Vaako was beginning to lose strength in his arm. He was losing the fight, but you couldn't have that happen. You couldn't lose all the happiness that you had finally had.

"Enough," you yelled

Riddick turned his head towards you. It was just in time because you came swinging your sword. Rolling off of your Lord Marshal, the large man dodged your blade. Taking another swing, and another, Riddick seemed to dodge every single swing, but then you struck the armor that sat on his chest causing it to break off.
Just as you swung the sword up again, you saw the hand print, peeking out from is shirt, and glowing, then...

"I knew, in time, you'd both cross paths again," a familiar voice said softly.

Both you and Riddick turned your heads in the direction of the voice, and you saw the woman from before, Shirah.

"What do you mean by 'again'," Riddick grumbled out.

Shirah looked at you with a smile, then she looked at the Furyan male.

"Doesn't she seem, just a touch familiar to you," she asked, as she walked around him. "Look at her face, her eyes. She must remind you of someone you once knew."

Looking over at you with his metallic eyes, you felt something within you. It wasn't submission, nor the want to challenge, but it felt similar to both. You'd no idea as to what it was, but you stood still under his gaze.

"I don't know her," he grumbled out.

"It isn't her that you remember," Shirah whispered. "It is her blood that you'll recognize."

Walking over to you, Shirah pulled out a blade and grabbed your hand. You tried to pull your hand fro her, but she held you firmly. Pricking your skin, your blood dripped from your body, and the bade held your blood. Letting go of your hand, Shirah brought the blade to Riddick.

"Remember who you've had," she stated.

Looking up at the woman, Riddick growled, then he sniffed the blade.

A look of confusion came over his face, then he looked over at you.

He didn't say anything for a moment, then he quickly looked at Shirah.

"That's not possible," he hissed out.

"Oh, but it is," Shirah stated, then she touched both of the marks on our chests.

With a bright light, time was put back into place, but both you and Riddick were pushed back from one another. Feeling yourself flying through the air, you almost felt free, but at the same time you knew you were in danger. There was no telling where you could land, or what you could land against.

With a sudden stop, you felt the air of your lungs forced from your body, then a rush of air again as you fell towards the hard floor. Once you'd hit the ground, you took a moment to catch your breath, then you looked up.

Riddick was against the pillar across from you, catching his own lung of air, and Vaako was between both of you. His head was turning back and forth between the two of you.

But what surprised you was the name that you heard. It was hard to hear, but you heard it drip out of Riddick's mouth.

The name you heard him utter was the name of your mother, and he was staring at you as he spoke it.
