The Necromonger's were reckless. Everyone was buzzing about preparing for the battle ahead. You and your Lord Marshal walked side by side down the dark halls. Both clothed in heavy armor, and ready for battle. Vaako wielded an ax, and you a spear. Both of you loved to get close to your enemies, and to let them know who it was that struck them down. Both of you had become the power of the faith. Both of you had begun the path to reestablishing the laws of the Necromongers.

However, you could feel a large pit forming its way inside of you. It didn't want this darkness, instead it wanted something... more. It was feral and seeking revenge against something you knew was around you, and yet you could not explain the origin of this feeling. It felt as if you held it for ages, and ages before you. Vaako had no clue that you were hiding this feeling, but you knew it would cause in issue in due time.

I'll talk with him after we take this planet, and it's moon, you thought to yourself.

Loud alarms went off, as soldiers began to line up in formation. Many stood over drop pads, but like you, and Vaako, others were eating to single drop ships. These ships were smaller than most attack ships, but they had high amounts of power. Stopping before the ship you were assigned, you watched as Vaako walked to the one in front of yours.

"I'll see you on the ground," he stated softly, then he turned and mounted onto the attack ship.

You smiled and got onto your own ship, then the moment you turned on the engine, you were lifted up and launched from the ship. Upon taking flight, the ship lurched towards the surface of the planet. The city below was lit up with blinding lights, and the burning of buildings. Gunfire was immediately witnessed, and you were launched into immediate battle. Flying swiftly down into the city streets, you targeted any defense systems and fired upon them. Battle ships became nothing, but metal shards as you traversed through the streets.
A swell of victory ran through you, and adrenaline kept you going, but some part of you felt sick to your stomach. It was like you were witnessing what had happened all that time ago, however, you were the one causing it this time.

Your heart began to race as you felt the pain of the past run through you, and then...

Time itself seemed to stop. Your ship was no longer moving, nothing was moving. Then, before your very eyes, a vision of another world opened up. Grave upon grave came into view, and burning buildings sat behind them. Suddenly, the voice of a woman struck your ears.

"You are recreating the destruction that happened on our home long ago."

Looking around, your Y/C/E eyes landed upon a woman. She wore leather, and her dreaded hair was a dusty brown. She seemed familiar to you, and yet you'd never seen her before.

"Furya has a great pain that you now carry," she stated. "Do not let them destroy you. You carry our rage, but you also carry our love. You can stop the Necromongers with these powers, but you will have to wake up."

As she states this, she walks up to you, and looks deeply into your eyes.

"The path of the Necromongers is a cruel one, but the path of a Furyan is far harder than theirs," she states, then she places her hand on your collarbone. Instantly, you feel a cold pain, and you groan. She closes her eyes, then suddenly, you are back in the battle. the pain intensifies, and your ship crashes into the stone of the streets.

"Our world, our people, have been avenged," you hear the woman speak in your head. "But we must end this destruction."

After her words end, the pain explodes through your whole body, then... nothing.

The world goes dark, and silent. You've no clue of the battle that was around you. No idea if you'll be found or killed in this state. You wonder if this is death. If what had happened to everyone whose breath you'd taken in your lifetime. What if there is nothing after death. No Heaven, no Hell, no Underverse... just nothing, but darkness.

The sounds of muffled voices captured attention. Someone was yelling, and then there was the sound of crashing, then the voices faded away. It was quiet for a tie, and then... you heard his voice.

"I do hope you don't plan to go to the Underverse any time soon," Vaako said quietly.

You knew he was near you, but you couldn't move or make a sound.

"I want you to know that the mission was successful. Not that you care about that," he grumbled. "I know you still believe this faith is... wrong."

There was a silence for a time, then he continued.

"Truth be told... I never believed in this faith. I never believed anything really. I just kept going and doing what I could to survive. I've betrayed my only friend, killed and tortured... all to survive."

The tension and the pain you could feel from him made you want to reach out and hold him tightly.

"Now, I lead a faith that I now only know. I've forgot who I was, then I became... a god," he sighed. "What is a God without his Goddess?"

Slowly, his voice faded away, but what he'd said made your heart ache. He cared about you more than anything, and you could tell. He was exposing himself completely in that moment. To him, you may not have heard him, but in all reality you heard every part of his heart and soul.

He was a God, not one the Necromongers necessarily wanted, but one that was needed for this Universe.

Suddenly, your eyes opened and you felt your body jerk yourself forward.

Something wasn't right. You felt it in every fiber of your bones. The ship... had gone silent.
