Last night didn't go as perfect as I would have wanted. Not only had I to move in and be welcomed by an arrogant brat but I also had to find out that I have to spend time with him as my possible roommate for an unknown period and I also have to make efforts to try and be friends with him to do what I'm getting paid to do.

These are the thoughts I have as soon as I turn off my alarm. So, the first thing I decide to do it to have a fresh start to this beautiful day since this is the day I finally start my classes at QMUL. No looking back at things I cannot change. I'll focus on my job and my duty and of course get my diploma!

Since it is the first day, I put on some gray dress pants and a black shirt to not look either too casual or too formal. I get ready, pray, and then go to have breakfast downstairs.

As soon as I enter the kitchen, I see a middle-aged woman in there. She probably heard my footsteps and turns around to greet me with one of the warmest smiles I've seen.

"Hey! So you're the one who would be staying here. Mr. Daniels sent me the message. I am Melanie, the house help here. Well not here, I serve at Mr. Daniels' actual residence but he wanted me to be here to help you and Mike out. That's too long of an introduction." She said with a small laugh.

Needless to say I already like her.

"Hi! I'm Sanyukta. It's so nice to meet you. And before you get confused by my name, you can call me Yukta!"

"And you can call me Mel. Mr. Daniels has already told me that you might object to that but seriously, I don't need you to think twice before calling me Mel, you can consider it as an equivalent to whatever you think might be appropriate. Now tell me Yukta, what would you have before your first day at the University?"

I checked my clock to see how much time I had before Finn arrives. Turns out, I had a good hour and half for that. So, I just thought that since I had sufficient time, I should eat what Ma would have asked me to and I knew exactly what.

"Actually Mel," she smiled in approval as soon as I said her name, "do we have plain yogurt? I forgot to bring it when i went shopping for the groceries yesterday."

Thankfully with the number of Indians living in London, Finn took me to the store which had the majority of the supplies that an Indian kitchen could need. So, I brought back bags of flour, rice, etc... you get the idea.

"Oh yes we have that. You want to have yogurt for breakfast?" Mel looked at me as if she was expecting something more.

"Yes but I would have it with one of the most staple Indian breads, parathas. That would be my perfect breakfast and I will cook it Mel. Just please tell me where is sugar and the yougurt."

"Oh sure. Then you go knead your bread, and I will get you a glass of juice. I hope apple is fine" she asks while handing me what I asked for.

"Oh yes absolutely" I reply.

I then quickly make and eat my parathas with yogurt adding sugar to it because that it what Ma would have done for my first day. I tell Mel this and that's how to start talking about random stuff. After I'm done, I go back up to my room to call my parents and then just check everything before heading out.

Finn takes me to QMUL and it takes an hour to reach there. As soon as I entered through the gates, suddenly every thing I had done to this day seemed smaller in comparison to what I was getting to experience from this moment. I thanked Finn and got out of the car. I stood in front of the big white structure to take in this moment.

I started walking towards the admin office to get my schedule and guide. The lady at the desk explained everything I needed to know and then said, "Welcome to Queen Mary University of London. We're glad to have you."

A/N: And that's another one. I won't be able to upload a chapter on Saturday since I'd be out of town but I will make up for that! Thank you so much for voting on the chapters and showing your support for this story. See you soon!
