The girls all stood in the kitchen, unable to think of what to do next.
"We should tell the others." Amber whispered.
"How. He's in there." Leah whispered frantically.
The thought for a second.
"Let's put a message in their food, and when we give it to them they'll see." Amber suggested.
"Yes! Yes, okay. How?" Leah said putting the plates back on the side.
They looked around for paper and pen. "Here!" Leah grabbed the paper and ripped it into pieces.
On each price of paper they wrote 'its Olly' and they slid the paper under Wes', Tommy's and Chris' sandwiches.
"Ready?" Amber asked before they went out.
"Wait!" Emily said quickly. "Are we absolutely certain it's him?"
The looked at each other. "Yes."
The girls nodded and went back into the living room. Emily gave a plate to Chris and kept one for herself. Amber did the same with Wes.
Leah gave one plate to Olly with an awkward smile. Then she gave another to Tommy, keeping the last to herself.
The girls took a bite of their sandwiches and then waited for the boys to eat. They waited for them to see their messages.
Chris looked up first. He desperately looked at all three girls and nodded slightly at them. He'd got the message.
Then Wes saw too. He did the same, nodding at the girls in agreement.
Finally Tommy looked up at them. His eyes lingered on Leah. She gave him a look and he too nodded in agreement.
They all continued to eat in silence until they'd finished.
Olly and Leah were both stood on opposite sides of the table, she placed her plate on the table and looked at the others, hinting for them to go the same.
They did, first Amber and Emily slowly walked to the table. Then Chris, Wes and Tommy followed.
The second they were close enough they lurched forward and grabbed Olly.
"What the fuck!" He struggled in their grasp. "Leah What the fuck!"
"I'm sorry." She cried.
"You think it's me!? You think I killed them!?" He shouted.
Amber and Emily comforted Leah.
"Let's tie him up. Lock him in one of the rooms." Wes suggested.
The boys nodded and carried their struggling friend up the stairs.
"Leah I'm so sorry." The girls hugged each other and waited for the boys to come back down.
When they did, they saw Leah crying her eyes out. "Shit! Sorry Leah." Chris said, giving her a hug.
When Chris let her go again they all sat on the sofas.
"Shall we check around outside? See if we can get the phones working?" Tommy suggested. "Come on Chris Let's go." He said.
Chris stood up and followed his friend outside.
"What exactly are we looking for?" He said, his back turned.
"Tom?... Tommy?"
No answer.
Chris turned around to see his friend stood angrily. Holding a knife.
"Tommy What- ...you..? It was you?" Chris breathed.
"...yeah. It was me." He nodded.
"And I didn't want to hurt any of you. I really didn't. But you were comforting her. Touching her..."
There was a pause.
"I should be the one comforting her!" Tommy shouted, dropping the knife.
"Mate-" Chris tried to calm him down.
"Shut up!" Tommy marched up to his friend.
He put his hands on Chris' face, looking into his eyes.
He snapped his neck.
Chris was dead.
Tommy turned around to see Emily standing. Watching.
"Emily, you're better off without him." Tommy said edging towards her.
Before she could speak. Before she had a chance to say anything. She fainted. Collapsed.
Tommy ran to her side and picked her up.
He couldn't have this.
She knew his secret.
She would expose him.
He suddenly had an idea.
He carried her to the lake nearby and dropped her in it. Holding her under the water.
She began to struggle. Thrashing about painfully.
Then she stopped.
He left her there in the water and went back for Chris' body.
He left them together. Dead. In the water.
Peaceful.
Tommy went back inside as if nothing had happened.
He walked into the living room to find Amber hugging Leah. Wes sat on Ambers other side."Are you okay?" Tommy asked, sitting down next to Leah.
"Yeah... I'm just... shocked."
"Where's Chris and Emily?" Wes asked after a moment.
"Emily came out to talk to him trap I left them to it. They probably won't be long." Tommy said casually.
They bought it.
They believed him.
Why wouldn't they? He was their friend.
They sat for a while in silence. Unable to actually comprehend what had happened.
It was 5 o'clock.
5 o'clock on a Monday, 8 people were dead and they had the wrong person tied up for it.
Olly sat in Tommy's room in the dark. His hands tied behind his back and his feet tied together.
Tears streamed down his face. He didn't do it. He didn't do it. He didn't do it.
In the living room the 4 of them sat silently.
"They've been gone a while." Amber said.
"...yeah. I think they were going to try find some signal on the phones." Tommy said quickly.
"I might go look for them. Better then just sitting here." Amber stood up and headed to the door.
"I'll come too." Tommy got up too. "I'll be back in a moment." He smiled sweetly at Leah.
She smiled back at him, causing his heart to flutter.
