Chapter 43

Winter break has begun and I've been spending all my time with Ron. "Get on it, Athena!" He said as he was teaching me about quidditch, "NO! I'm gonna fall!" I said, he wanted me to get on the broom but I was too scared to get on. Quidditch wasn't my thing and I didn't enjoy it as much as the guys and Ginny did. "You won't, I will be right here." He assured me, pointing at the grass, I was about to get on it when our owl came and gave me a letter, I opened it and started to read it

Dear Athena,

I was asked to let you know if you can spend winter break with my parents and me. We have some important news we have to tell you and something I wanted to ask you, be discreet about it. Don't tell anyone you're going to be spending winter break with us. If you do agree, meet me in the forest where we usually meet at. I'll be there at twelve on Sunday, don't be late! I love you.

I smiled at the letter but noticed Ron staring at me, "what?" I asked, "who wrote?" He asked, of course, he was going to ask, he always does. "Astoria! She was telling me about what she's up to!" I quickly lied and walked back inside, I got to my room and started to pack my things. Later in the day, I went downstairs and spent the rest of the afternoon in the living room reading my book and talking to Ron. "To bed!" Mum yelled from her bedroom and I walked to my room, I grabbed my bag and waited for everyone to sleep.

 I walked downstairs and I left my house, I walked to the forest but was a bit early. When I got there it was 11:30 and I was walking back and forth to keep myself warm, as I was walking I heard Draco yell out for me, "Athena!" I ran up to him and kissed him, as we pulled away he took my hand and we started to walk. "I didn't think you would make it!" He said, "why? You know I wouldn't miss a chance to see your mum!" I said and he chuckled, "your family." He said and he was right but they didn't need to know, "true but I sneaked out." as I said that he turned and looked at me, he was surprised. "That's my girl!" he said and kissed my hand.  

We got to his house and I was excited to see Narcissa, we entered the house and the cold breeze hit me. I took my jacket off and boots off, I took out the other shoes I had in my bag and put them on. "Athena!" Narcissa said as I entered the dining room, "Hi!" I said and went to give her a hug. "You look more beautiful since the last time I saw you!" She said, I smiled, "thanks!" I said as she walked to the kitchen and took out some food. We sat down and started to eat, as we were eating, Lucius entered the dining room. "Athena." He said and I got up from my chair and gave him a handshake, I sat back down and he walked to the end of the table and sat down. "I didn't think you would make it," he said and I smiled at him. Once we were done eating, I helped Narcissa pick up the plates. "Mum, can I steal her for a moment?" 

Draco asked as he entered the kitchen, "Of course!" She said, he took my hand and took me to his room. "sit," he said as we entered, I sat down and he was standing there looking at me. He sighed..."Athena. I really am sorry, I truly tried... but I just couldn't do anything about it." I started getting scared, "what did you Draco." I almost whispered, getting up walking up to him, he took my hands and made me look at him. "The dark lord came and he told me.. that he wants you to be a part of us." I gasped pulling my hands away, "Athena. I'm so so-" I cut him off, "this is not your fault" I reassure him.

 "How much time do I have to think about it?" I asked looking at him, he walked up to me and sat right next to me. "We have a meeting in two days, so by that time," he said and I just nodded and looked at the floor, "I don't want you to do this, I will convince him-." I knew Draco wouldn't convince him and that it could possibly cost his life, "no you can't! I can't let you risk your life for me, and I won't need time to think about it because I have already made my mind." I said looking at him and he was surprised that I had already made my mind up about the offer,

 "I will, I will be a death eater...as long as I'm with you." He kissed me but got up and started to walk back and forth, "Athena, are you sure about this? You know how much it has affected me." He was right but I can't say no or my family and I could get killed. "I know how much it affected you and I don't want this but I don't have any other option Draco. He will kill me and my family if I say no." I said and he stopped walking back and forth and he walked up to me and gave me a long kiss. "I really am sorry about this!" He said in between the kisses, I pulled back, "no need, as long as I'm with you I'll be happy" I told him. "Good." He says and then we start to make out, as we were kissing he picks me up and lays me down on his bed. I give him a questioning look, but he just smirks at me. Oh no, I know where this is going. Draco took out his wand and pointed it at the door and whispered "Muffliato."
