Chapter 36

Summer had come to an end. We were already starting sixth year and I didn't know how to feel, there was going to be new changes, good and bad. As Ron and I were getting inside the train, I saw Draco. He looked sad and I wanted to go and give him the biggest hug. What could be wrong with him? I didn't get to see him at all after seeing him with Narcissa looking suspicious at Hogsmeade "Hello, Athena?" I got snapped out of my thoughts as Ron waved his hand on my face, "what?" I turned and looked at Ron, he grabbed my hand and dragged me. We got to our department and all I could think about was Draco, I was about to go see him but then Hermione started talking to me. "Athena! I was thinking that we can go to the library together after we get situated, do you want to?" I didn't want them to worry about me so I decided to go with her. "Yeah!" We were all talking when Harry left our department, and he was taking forever to come, we were almost at school and he wasn't back. "Where's Harry?" Asked Hermonie as we left our department, "He's already on the platform, come on." Said Ron, dragging Hermione's hand. I decided to go look for him and figure out why he was taking forever, I turned around and I noticed that Hermonie and Ron didn't know I left them. I was looking in every department for him when I noticed some blinds down and that was Draco's department, I really wished he wasn't there and that it was Harry with someone. I opened the doors and that's when I heard Draco, "And that's for my father. Enjoy your ride back to London" I saw that Harry was on the floor and that Draco had covered him with an invisible cloak. "Draco! I called out, I ran up to Harry and took the invisible cloak off him and I noticed that he had a broken nose. "What did you do?" I said looking at Draco who had no emotions. "Let's go." he said but I won't get up, "NOW!" he yelled while grabbing my hand. I got up and followed him out of the train, "Draco. Talk to me!" He stopped and turned around to face me, he was looking straight at my eyes. "There's a lot going on!" He said looking down at the floor, I walked up to him and gave him a hug. "Draco, I will always be here for you! No matter what and you can tell me anything, I will still love you." I pulled away and gave him a kiss on his cheek. "I know love. I will tell you when I'm ready." He said taking my hand and we started to walk, I wanted to know what was happening to him but I respected his decision and no matter what he told me I would always be there for him, like he was there for me when I was at my lowest. Draco and I approached Snape, as they were talking I noticed Luna and Harry walking up to Mr. Flitwick, I didn't know if Harry knew I was there and that I didn't help him or worse that Draco and I are on good terms, I hope he wasn't aware. "It's alright, Mr. Flitch. I can vouch for Mr. Malfoy... and Ms. Weasley." Said Snape, As he said I turned around and saw that Draco snatched his stuff back from Mr. Flitch and then Draco and I turned around to where Luna and Harry were, "nice face, Potter." said Draco, as he said that I noticed that Harry was staring at me and I turn to face Draco and I he knew I wanted to leave because he turned around and started to walk away, I followed him and before I left I turned around and looked at Harry. One more time. 

Draco and I both entered the great hall together and I heard people whisper things about us. "Didn't they break up?" "Draco can do so much better." "Harry and Ron won't approve of this!" I heard people say, I turned around and saw that Draco was looking at me. He took my hand and our fingers interlock, I turned and looked at the gryffindor table. I saw that Ginny, Ron and Hermonie were looking at me, I could care less. If they were happy for me they would understand. As we sat down, Astoria came and sat next to me. "Omg! So now everyone knows! Finally because I couldn't keep it a secret anymore!" Both Draco and I laughed, I was about to say something but then Dumbledore started to give his usual speech and then I noticed Harry enter the great hall with a bloody nose, I turned and looked at Draco but he just put his hand on my thigh and turn back around to look at Dumbledore. Once we were dismissed, I decided to go find Luna and Harry, on my way to go find them I got stopped by Ginny and Ron. "What's going on? Are you and Draco a thing?" Asked Ginny, I brushed her and her questions off me but Ron grabbed my hand and turned me around to face them, "Bloody hell. What has he done to you?" "Nothing! We're just friends and I needed to talk to someone, that's why I was with him." I said, pulling Ron's hands away. "You can always talk to us. That's what family is for!" Ginny said trying to reach for my hand but I stepped back, "You guys wouldn't understand. You guys never do and you have never accepted any of my decisions." I said and decided to walk away, I went to go find Luna. I found her in the library reading a book about astronomy, "Hi, Luna!" I said taking a seat next to her. "Hello Athena." "Can you please not tell anyone about the train, about me being with Draco." I said, "of course!" she said and I just gave her a smile, Luna has always been nice to me and the first time that I met her wasn't the best. I did laugh when Hermonie was going to call her something rude so I decided to bring it up and apologies, "Luna.. I wanted to say that I'm sorry that I laughed at you the first time I met you. I know it's been a long time since that happened but I just want to be on good terms with you." I said and smiled at her, she closed her book and looked at me, "It's okay, I've always considered you as a friend, Athena." she said and got up, "thanks, later!" I said and with that she had exited the library, I went back to my room and decided to do some reading before going to bed.
