His Dark Princess

Chapter 9

After Malfoys and I's little interaction in the room, I couldn't think straight for the rest of the day. At dinner, Elvira asked me what was wrong since I wasn't eating but I just told her I was stressed about a test. I decided I needed to lay down so I excused myself from dinner and went to the common room. Once I got there since everyone was at dinner I decided to get comfy and go sit by the fire. I put on some pajama pants and a crop top. I grabbed a book from my room and went to read my fire. I was peacefully enjoying my book when someone walked in, I ignored them but then they said "Not even gonna say hi"? Malfoy, I huff, "Hi," I say and go back to my book. He is still in his uniform but takes off his cape and is left in his black dress pants and a white button-down shirt. He comes over and sits by me, a little too close for comfort. We sit in silence for a little before I say "I didn't hear much but you saying you couldn't do something" I look over at him and see his first couple buttons are undone, I look away quickly before he turns to see me. "That's all" he questions, "yes" I look at him "good" he gets up and leaves me on the couch. That same stomach feeling is coming again, I don't know what it is but it's only when I'm with Malfoy and I don't like it. The next morning I get ready for class and head for breakfast. It was still early so not many people were in the dining room. I fit down at our table and began to eat some toast and continue reading my book from last night. As I read my book, my mind drifts back to last night's encounter of Malfoy and me in the common room. I remember how he looked so tired and sad, more than usual, and his hair was messy and his shirt... unbuttoned and looking so good with the fire's light illuminating his beautiful green eyes- what am I thinking! I quickly erase those thoughts from my head. I was beginning to read when I felt someone's eyes on me. I look up and see Elio, he comes over and sits in front of me. "Elio you're not supposed to be here." "I know but I need to talk to you" "well?" "I just wanted to say that I miss you and I miss being with you, we were so close as kids and I just, well I miss being with you" "I-'' I didn't know what to say, I mean I missed him too but why all the sudden change of heart? "I miss you too," I told him. "How about I buy you a butterbeer from three broomsticks? You can bring your Slytherin friend." "Elvira?" "yeah her" he quickly responds, mhhh maybe he doesn't just want to be MY friend again. "Okay I'll see if she wants to go" "okay great, is tomorrow good? "Yeah" "great! See you tomorrow" he smiles and leaves "haha okay see you" I smile back. It's good to have my childhood bestie back, even if he probably just wants me for Elvira.
